Like SWIgodztear, SWIM
also advises against doing what SWIcreature described above.
is a very potent synthetic opioid
analgesic. Its potency is approximately 100 times that of morphine
's, meaning 100 mcg (MICROgrams) of fentanyl is (approximately) equal in analgesic value to 10 mg of morphine. With a substance this potent, experimental use by an inexperienced and unknowledgeable recreational user is dangerous, and said user attempting to INJECT such a substance is EXTREMELY dangerous (SWIM cannot stress this enough).
It should be noted that the patch SWIcreature has is not a 50 mg patch and does not contain 50 mg of fentanyl. SWIM is almost positive that the patch in question is actually a 50 mcg/hour patch, and thus contains a total of 5 mg of fentanyl. However, the 5 mg is intended to be distributed at a rate of 50 micrograms per hour for ~72 hours.
The solution/gel contained within the patch (either in a reservoir or 'matrix' system) consists of fentanyl citrate and alcohol
. The gel is not meant to be injected. There are other ways of using the fentanyl contained within the patch. To learn more about using the patch, SWIM suggests UTFSE
. Please do not attempt injecting any part of any fentanyl patch.
