How to abuse Fentanyl Patches

In the UK, fentanyl generally comes as non-gel adhesive patches (called Durogesic rather than Duragesic for some reason) that sound very much like the mylan you're discussing. The usual ones prescribed deliver 50ug per hour and are supposed to be worn for three days. Each patch contains 5000ug to begin with, so there's potentially 1400ug of drug left in them when legitimate users take them off and sell them to scumbags like SWIM.

SWIM is very interested in the news that such patches are better absorbed through the mouth than through the gut. SWIM has generally been cutting them up to stop sticky drug surfaces sticking together so much and then eating them. The effect varies quite a bit (probably depending on whether the previous owner has had a bath etc.) but it's definitely SWIM's favourite opiate dunt these days. SWIM knows people who soak them in a glass of whisky over night as they believe this gets more of the fentanyl out of them, but SWIM has tried this and didn't notice much difference.

SWIM will stick the half he has left under his tongue in the morning and see how the day goes.

The oral absorption should work much better and is more economical than swallowing the fentanyl from the patch. Let us know how it goes and be safe.

So this swim could use his old ones 25 or 50 after use

by sticking a portion of the patch between SWIM's cheek and teeth

yes if u have the matrix ones(looks like a piece of plastic) just cut a piece off and put between cheek and gum, if urs is the resivour the u can put the gel in the same place but swim uses new patches not used ones thats gross

Here's a little history about my SWIM. They have been on opiates for about two and a half years. The latest has been 80mgs of Oxycontin a day for about five months. SWIM took more than perscribed because they always have breakthrough pain around the same time of day. So, in the end they were probably on six to eight 80mg Oxycontins per day. Just before they were switched to the patch SWIM went through 64 80's in one week. SWIM is in line to get in Hopkins pain clinic, but the waiting list is four months long. I feel so bad for them, they've had disk replacement surgery last spring, have broken their hip in a 16 foot fall off of a faulty deck, and are bipolar. Unfortunately, SWIM was hospitalized for the very first time in their bipolar life for accidental lithium poisoning at the end of August/September. I thought SWIM was going to pass away. They were found passed out on the floor, half in and half out of the bathroom and hallway. Anyway, SWIM was just put on the Fentanyl patch and I have been helping them do research on how to use it most effectively. They prefer to get a high or euphoric feeling from pain killers because it is a true distraction from the pain. SWIM does not feel that way on two 75mcg patches every 72 hours. We decided they should leave the original patches on and after 48 hours add the new ones, then take the old off at the 72 hour point. This has to do with the half life and how long it takes to work. I am looking to find out how to help SWIM make the patch work faster. I don't understand some of the medical jargon used to explain how long it takes to work etc. SWIM read that it takes up to 12 to 32 hours for it to even start working? Can that be true? SWIM is on nothing else but the patch for now. I told SWIM to demand percocet after getting eight facet blocker injections this past Monday. He perscribed 30 10/325's. Because of SWIM's opiate tolarance, SWIM takes three to six percs at a time. I found this place for us to ask questions and maybe learn a few things. I have read the entire thread but am still digesting for SWIM. I would like to know if with an opiate tolarance like SWIM's could SWIM chew a quarter patch at times of breakthrough pain? SWIM has done everything by the book with doctors but follow the exact doses because they didn't work. SWIM is pretty much paralyzed with pain. This is not about recreation. Thanks in advance.

If SWIY is only taking 30-60 mg of percocet at a time, be wary of even taking a quarter patch to chew on. This stuff is nothing to mess around with. Wear it as directed and pain relief should begin within the hour. Recreational effects often do not manifest for 8-12 hours. Remember that if SWIY needs these patches for pain, that using them to get a euphoria will drive up tolerance alot faster, which can be harmful in the long run. Good luck and be safe.

Swim wants everyone to know that cuttng a 75 patch into small pieces and turning them inside out, sticking them inside swim's cheak for about twenty five minutes or so gives fast relief from breakthrough pain. Swim has been doing this for the last two days and it is really helping. Swm has a high tolerance for opiates so the measurments really don't matter as much. Swim suggests not swallowng for that entre time because everythng needs to enter your system through cheek. If you have to, spit a little into a glass and then taking it back into your mouth again works ok too. You'll end up with quite a mouth full of saliva ths Swim says. Make sure you keep the part of the patch between your cheek and teeth and suck the medicine slowly out of itk It tastes a bit strange but Swim says it is worth it.

^^only attempt this if SWIY has a huge tolerance, however. Without a tolerance its best not to touch fentanyl at all.

I have a huge tolerance due to two and a half years of pain management treatment. I've had injections, sometimes nine at a time, epidurals, and was first on hydrocodone, then Oxycodone, and finally my doctor switched me to Oxycontin in September after a very difficult disk replacement surgery. You have to understand, I can barely walk or stand for any length of time. I went to see a new pain doc two weeks ago and was prescribed fentanyl.

Now, SWIM uses fentanyl as prescribed and also for emergency pain. For example, SWIM finds it very effective to apply SWIM's two 75mcg patches on SWIM's arms and one the third day SWIM removes the patches and places them in plastic glad bags. Then, when SWIM experiences emergency pain, SWIM cuts the used patches in half, squeezes the left over medicine to the bottom edge and then to the middle on both sides. SWIM then cuts the edges off and unfolds the square to reveal the medicine and tucks it inside SWIM's cheek. SWIM leaves it there for up to a half hour then spits the remains into a small cup, which is saved for later. The Fentanyl eventually appears as a brownish substance almost grainy in the liquid. Later, SWIM sips the liquid and leaves it in SWIM's mouth for a similar amount of time to the patch and it works again. SWIM is very satisfied with the effects of this, but SWIM as everyone else does warns against doing this without having a high tolarance for opiates in the first place. SWIM was taking six 80mg of Oxycontin a day for several months before being put on the patch.

I'm not sure I would ever risk doing this myself.

SWIM was reading on another thread about antacids getting the pH of the stomach up and helping to increase the potency of orally consumed opiates. Does anyone reckon this would work with swallowed non-gel, Durogesic style fentanyl patches?

It might help a little bit, but the antacids only help increase absorption slightly. SWIY would probably have better luck taking other potentiators like dxm or grapefruit juice and then chewing on the patch, fentanyl has pretty bad bioavailability when swallowed (plus the thought of swallowing a used patch is a bit unappealing)!

Ha! Yeah SWIM knows. But what can he do. The only way he gets these things is used. He's tried the chewed/absorbed in mouth method, but it's tricky to manage. The patches are near enough 2 inches long by an inch wide and have a habit of folding in on themselves so the two drug covered sides are stuck against each other in SWIM's gob. And in any case the thought of chewing on a used patch is probably more revolting.

SWIM's usual tactics is to cut the patches into small pieces and swallow with a big gulp of liquid. Takes about 2 hours to peak and is wearing away by about 6 (though sometimes it seems to last far longer for reasons SWIM has yet to get to the bottom of). And as SWIM's had me point out above, it's his favoured opioid experience of recent times.

Will give the grapefruit juice a go maybe. Not sure what you get DXM in in the UK.

Hm, swim usually would fold the patch before chewing by fixing a small end of the sticky side to the non-sticky portion of the opposite side. Its hard to describe, but it basically ends up being like where you fold a piece of tape onto itself so that only the sticky side is facing outward. If one gets a large enough sticky portion affixed, it shouldnt come undone in the mouth. Still does not taste pleasant though.

Not sure what products are available in the UK containing DXM, but SWIM knows that DXM products there usually have a smaller amount of DXM in them than overseas. However, a little bit of DXM is all one needs. Remember to take the grapefruit juice 45 minutes to an hour before the opioid for maximum effect.

SWIM has found that the absolute best way to get immediate pain relief is NOT to swallow the patch. It is best absorbed by sticking a trimmed portion of the patch between SWIM's cheek and teeth. This gives relief between five to ten minutes and if you choose to keep it in longer WITHOUT SWALLOWING of course, You must keep the medicine in your mouth, also swallowing can make you feel sick. SWIM has also had success with saving the mixture in sWIM's mouth in a cup at room temperature (sorry repeating myself) and then using it again later several time. SWIM has noticed that the Fentanyl can be seen in the cup as a brown substance. Again, you can reuse the mixture at least twice.

Hi everyone. I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place but I did a couple of searches and didn't come up with a place to post. Please point me in the right direction if I'm out of line here.

So, I woke up this morning and looked at my tongue as I was brushing my teeth and I saw two white stripes on either side of my tongue and one strip of bright red down the center. Does anyone know if this could be drug related? You can tell from my post what SWIM's experiences are.

Any help and direction would be appreciated.

SWIM wants everyone to know that SWIM had a bad experience with cutting open a new patch. Unfortunately, SWIM did not measure correctly like SWIM has always done. The effects on pain were the same BUT SWIM got sick later in the evening, violently ill. I think SWIM is best using old patches for immediate pain relief. So, be extra careful if you are using a new patch. Make sure to divide it into four quarters with equal medicine in each quarter.

FWIW, Swim occasionally smokes fent, tin foil, chasing dragon method, swim's own scripted fent gel from patch(santoz-generics).Swim has done so for several months, Swim just got lab results back and liver and such all look good. Just sharing some info. I do not ingest at all, not 1 drop. FWIW.

SWIM has been following that procedure as well with prescripted supply. It seems to work much faster and much easier on SWIM'S pain. SWIM never ever swallows anything. SWIM has never had their liver checked, and probably should.

After using only pills to relieve SWIM's pain for years, SWIM went to a new doctor that prescibed the patch. SWIM got the Mylan generic and thanks to the great information in this thread he/she didn't do anything stupid with it. SWIM is using his/her old patches to help with breakthrough pain just as detailed in this thread. SWIM cuts a strip off the patch and inserts it between the lip and gums. SWIM chews on it occasionally and then puts it back between the lip and gums when the effects start to wear off. This is working great. It is like getting two perscriptions for the price of one. SWIM thanks all who have donated valuable information to this thread.

Like others have said, SWIM does not advise doing this with new patches.

OK, everyone, SWIM is going to end all doubt of Chasing the Dragon(smoking) with the Fentanyl Gel Patches. SWIM has a 10 mg (100 mcg/hour) gel patch and a sheet of foil. SWIM makes a small incision in the patch and deposits a very very small drop of the gel, probably half of a mm or 1 mm at max. (SWIM is experienced with alot of opiates, and is fairly tolerable, not rediculous tolerable, but you get the point.)

SWIM lights his lighter underneath the foil and inhales through a BIC pen tube, and exhales, feeling very pleased. Tolerance of fentanyl with repeated use increases quite a bit. 3 days ago SWIM got this patch, and has been using it everyday the first day SWIM used it twice(one drop) in a duration of 5 hours, day 2- SWIM used the patch twice once in the morning and once at night(2 drops each session) day 3- so far SWIM has used it once, starting with 2 drops.

This method of using the fentanyl is, in SWIM's opinion, the best and safest way of using this drug. This drug is very potent, and the patch SWIM is currently using, is the strongest, and SWIM is not dead, as some of you have suggested, and has suffered no signs of respitory depression. This opiate is like many of the stronger opiates, and SWIM has had nausea the first time SWIM upped his dosage. After that, SWIM has faced no nausea or other symptoms. SWIM will never eat the patches, although SWIM will put a little of the fentanyl gel on his tongue and keep it in his mouth. SWIM has heard that the gel is very bad for you after repeated use, and SWIM does not want to find out. SWIM thinks that the only risk of danger is the repeated use of foil, which can be cancer causing and alzheimer's disease. A glass smoking surface would be the best option. I'm not sure if SWIYou're asking how to light and suck in the smoke all at once, it can be tricky the first couple times one does it but gets rapidly easier. There's a pretty steep learning curve when it comes to drug administration, SWIM has noticed. Use one hand to hold the foil, preferably at a safe distance from the drug which is to be lit, and take the pen or straw firmly in the mouth. Use the other hand to light, SWIM finds its best to light slightly away from the foil and then bring the flame closer, and light UNDERNEATH the drug, dont apply the flame directly to it. Then inhale with the pen or straw close to the smoke. Is that what SWIYou wanted to know?

SWIM had 2 sandoz 25 mcg/hr patches to share with 1 other SWIM. After researching for hours, he decided to smoke the jelly. he popped a hole in the patch, squeezed out a drop, and foil toked it like heroin addicts do. immeadeatley, it hit like a rock, and this SWIM isn't a noob to opiates. Full opiate high after like 2-5 mins per hit. Both patches were fully roasted in about an hours' time... and the two SWIMS were both rather looped out. it doesnt last as long as it probably would ingested elsewise, but he reccomends smoking it over anything else (save IV). two full 25mcg patches, two people, one hour. no overdose. slight nausea, other typical opiate side effects... but overall, SWIM says it was a great way to do it. i'm new to the site, love it btw... and i just thought i'd share SWIM's story, cuz there aren't enough positive comments about smoking it since somebody abused their account on page one of these results. give it a try, you probably won't regret it. Keep in mind though, SWIM only had 25mcg/hr patches, opposed to 50, or 100mcg/hr patches. Procede with larger doses with EXTREME caution. rock on in the free world!
