Smoking - How to use keif?

what is a good way to smoke keif? just smoke it straight in a bowl? vapo it? is it used just like MJ and im asking stupid questions? haha thanks, i couldnt find anything else on this site

swim finds the most efficient way to smoke keif is thru a gbong, use a butter knife (or whatever you want) to scoop a small amount out of the keif tray and dump it in a gbong. (must have metal bowlpeice with screen) the fake tinfoil ones will result in your keif falling into the water.


vaporizor would probably work nicely also.

You can always Vaporize Kief.


"is it used just like MJ?" Yes ... and No. I use it to get high, "just like MJ", so I guess it's yes. You can't just roll some up in a cigarette paper, so I guess the answer is no.

SWIM always puts kief on top of his bowl. Apply as little heat as possible, you don't want to torch the kief! Your friends might kick you out of their house!

its the thc crystals that fall off the bud when pressed/scraped on a very fine screen....contain alot of thc

I think this is called skuff here....or Ice / Ice Skuff because the
weed gots frozen in in a freezer before shaking the crystals off.

The weed would still be worth keeping, if not to smoke then to make oil with it.

Where im at we concider this hash because it is pressed or rolled into balls of hash, we either call it crystal or buster hash.

the weed will be just as potent after you grind it and the keif drops into the keif box.


the keif is just very fine shake/crystals that wouldve fallen off in the proccess of breaking up your bud anyways.

no great ideas on the subject either...got mislead into this thread by the name, which is highly similar to "kif", keef or however one might want to transliterate the morrocan / colloquial arabic term for a very fine tobacco / cannabis powder mixture, which is traditionally smoked in a long pipe with a ver thin bowl called a "sebsi".
you can read all about it in M'hashish, or in the works of Burroughs in his Tangers period, or Bryon Gysin...
in colonial times, the french had set up a "regie des tabacs et du kif" which sold both tobacco and kif.
but anyway, swis has understood that this is not the same keif / keef / kif, sorry for not being more useful, ah the joys of slang...

SWIM finds it works well to layer bowls of weed with a pinch or two of keif. Just putting some on the bowl and covering it with more weed prevents it from getting torched and gets my penguin to a good place.

powdered kif gets thrown in a one hitter bowl with screen and smoked with a minimum amount of heat (the ambient heat from the lighter's flame)

this is the type of thing he uses as a kif pipe:





sometimes the drifter presses his kif for storage (this can be done with a pollen press, or if you are cheap like the drifter, you make a press out of a clay extruder) he smokes the the pressed kif by carving off small chunks (like hash) and throwing them on top of weed.
