sorry if this has already been covered, i couldnt find any info on it.

Why do opiates make some people puke? does it have to do with od'ing or is it just because your stomic is really relaxed (not really the words im looking for, but its hard to explain what i mean)Edited by: Red_Baran

Opiates sometimes make me vomit. Only if the dose is strong and i'm really high, or the heroin is pretty dirty. I know a few others like this. Physical exertion adds to it, as does tomato based foods.

When you take an opiate it binds to specific receptors in the brain, this is what causes you to get your desired "high". However what is often overlooked is that it also binds to some other receptors which cause the brain to create a sick feeling, often this is only enough to give a slight nausea however depending on the person and on the dose it can make someone vomit, SWIM has experienced it on quite a few occasions especially the day after using. There is little you can do to prevent it apart from using anti-sickness drugs if they are available to you.
