Great to see another Jethro Tull fan on the board. My favourite album of theirs is Thick as a Brick but Aqualung and Benefit are both awesome as well. I don't think I've ever heard music so suited to tripping from a band that was so clean. Ian Anderson wasn't into drugs at all. A bit of an unsung Frank Zappa.

Tough one (I'm over 40), but here's the "off the top of my head" picks... in no particular order:
(1) UFO, "Strangers in the Night" (classic live brit-metal) (2) Soundtrack, "Conan the Barbarian" (Basil Poledouris, Varese Sarabande, 1992) (3) Scheherazade Op. 35 (Leonard Bernstein, NY Philharmonic, 1959) (4) Beethoven Symphony No. 5, Op. 67 (Andre Previn, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, 1988)... recording is apparently unavailable anywhere, but did appear on CD at one point. Good luck even finding it used. Tons of others of course, but IMHO these are worth special note.Edited by: Nicaine |

Re: Post your 4 favorite albums of all time!
Sorry, Swim should learn to think in albums again, but purchasing a back catalogue of an artist is really expensive...
- Nina Simone - Neil Young - Billie Holliday - Lagwagon ' Duh' |
