Question about the US trance scene

okay, as a euro bastard swim is really curious whats the state of the trance and/or electro scene there. swim did spend some time in the SF bay area, and during that time he only saw a couple of psytrance events but nothing near the weekly big party thing hes used to, but than again he was otherwise engaged.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urnchemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><O:P></O:P>


oh and swims not asking about techno or house, cos we all know about that, nor about eurotrance which for the record isnt trance, trance music is for the clubs and for the people not for the 4min pussy dutch/deutch MTV, ie money.


all swim is getting from his people there is -yoyoyo,madafaka etc tough guys rap, straight outta compton im gonna cap yo ass-who wouldnt last 3 sec in swims ol "hood", or that shit called nu-metal with limp wizzdicks or that that whitetrash whoops he did me again


swims conclusion from his rather extensive travels is that the east is more into events and west more into MONEY. plus there area lot of people who are just posing, and are actually sober, and swim doesnt know if thats a good or a bad thing. than again hes used to parties w 99%population drugged up, which is also kinda crap<O:P></O:P>

I, too, havequestions about the US trance scene. Like, What is it?


Gee, daeron, I certainly enjoyed reading your Post. In some ways, I've been in a Trance for years. Now I hear that there are others who want to come together and Trance as a group.


I live in the Bay Area, and I haven't (yet) heard about this Event happening. I don't understand "electro" (or, for that matter,the different events like "techno" or "house"), but I am excited to find out more.


Once I figure out what I'm looking for, I will be "electro"fied, and hunt one of them down.

OK. San Francisco is HOT with Trances.


After much ado, I find the "________". In it they have a Thread about No. Calif. events. Most of them are in S F (in private houses, and clubs). There are several, just in the next week. The times are like 8 PM to 4 AM.


I will probably attend one in a week or 2 (after I figure out what Trance music is, and hear some first); then I can hop back on and "rave" about it.
