hi just found this forum. what is the difference between MDMA crystals and
crystal meth? is there a difference. i havent done either, i loves ecstacy pills
and could get some MDMA crystals if i want. i just wanted to no if it was the
same thing.

Well for one thing. They are completely diffrent drugs, MDMA is Ecstacy, crystal meth is methamphetamine. They might share some similar effects, but overall are still very diffrent, search some other posts and you will find that very quickly.

i thought speed was just amphetamine...ecstacy is MDMA right?
Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, obviously it
is part speed and the "Methylenedioxy" is the part that changes it to ecstacy,
so in effect it is an improved version of speed, so i dont get why people rave
on about crystal meth if all it is is speed, ecstacy is much better than speed,
speed to me is like a shit version of ecstacy.

The 3,4-methylenedioxy group makes a world of difference. Even a small change such as an oxygen atom instead of two hydrogen (like in cathinone compared to amphetamine) can make a pretty big difference. 2C-C and 2C-I apear to be worlds apart in terms of dose. Even changing the rotation of a part of the molecule can alter how strong it is. All because they share a structure doesnt make them the same.


Crystal meth is a very pure form of methamphteamine HCl. You can tell that it is pure by the fact that it is in large crystals. Crystals are extremely hard (if not impossible) to form when meth contains impurities.


Depending on the type of speed or meth you hvae, meth can be anywhere from much worse that speed (d-amphetamine compared to l-meth) or up to three times stronger (l-amp compared to d-meth)

Piggybacking on the last post, I'd like to add that a chemical which
seems more complex than another in its family is not necessarily an
"improved version" of anything, especially in terms of a chemical's
effect in humans. It sounds like you're looking at this as if
methylenedioxymethamphetamine were two different chemicals:
"methylenedioxy" + "methamphetamine." That is, it seems like your
expectation is that the "methamphetamine" component carries the same
effect whether by itself or as part of MDMA, and the "methylenedioxy"
component simply brings effects in addition</span>
to those of meth. MDMA is not just meth with added effects, it is
a completely different chemical that works in a completely different
way.

The name of the chemical represents the way the substance is built. i.e. the form.
The form of the substance relates to which receptors it fits on in your body. Read: which neurotransmitters it affects.
Neurotransmitters are substances which regulate(play a key factor in) physical and psychological change.
Methamphetamine mainly affects the neurotransmitter adrenalin, while MDMA mainly affects the neurotranmitter Serotonin. This is not the whole story, but enough to see the difference.

Also, speed in the UK does infer regular amphetamine. In the US, methamphetamine is the prevalent form and is, thus, refered to as speed.

The 3,4-Methylenedioxy-amphetamine is your MDA. Whereas the 3,4-Methylenedioxy-METHamphetamine is your MDMA.
