takes 100mg 5htp twice daily for 3 months and also has been trying to quite MJ on and off for the last year at least. This recent quit has lasted about 3 months for swim since he started taking the 5-htp. Well swim has been smoking small amounts of weed
now for 1 week and continuing to take 5-htp as recommended by a CCN. Anyway he notices profound difference the high. Its just better from just a few hits. He thinks there's less paranoia with the high. Hes quite more then 3 months before and restarted without this good results. Swim is already noticing the negatives coming from starting smoking pot
again and has to quite again for a job thing. But being high this time around seems happier to him this time around. Maybe swims sensitive but he notices that there's more anxiety laziness and plain wanting to hit the bowl when he first wakes up.
Weed is definitely addicting! he went months at a time without it and still starts up again. He's quit opiates
for 2 years now with no relapse. He was only hooked on those for 2 years also.
Swim says weed makes you depressed because he thinks it release serotonin
depleting it over time. So swim thinks yall should research it first then consider trying 5htp but only for a month at a time a few months out a year, or L-tryptophan.
Swim takes this because he could not sleep he took a neurotransmitter
test. Turned out he was severely low in serotonin and gaba, which are relaxing NT that are involved in sleep. No wounder swim liked xanax
for sleep and anxiety. So he takes 5-htp along with taurine and L-theanine
and a good multivitamin OH and omega 3 fatty acids and hes doing better.
OMEGA 3's i wanted to say something about those. Every one should take it every single day! Not that it will have and immediate effect BUT what it does is makes your body's own cannabinoids
also it is turned into brain connections and neurotransmitter receptor sites. Swims Hypothesis is that maybe it replaces old receptor sites so they become like virgin, so now when you release serotonin from smoking weed that receptor is more virgin to serotonin so it feels better. But he could be wrong.

Yea your right. 5-htp actauly is damn strong the first time you take it. your body gets more used to it over time. Swim didn't want to smoke when he first started taking it. Ya i know its hard not to smoke swim was on a mission. He was afraid to mix them. So he would'nt recomend taking 5-htp then smoking right after being yuor first time taking 5htp. Maybe only take it at night after your done smokeing weed. And give it a few weeks to month to see if you see results. Then come tell me cuz id like to know. PEACE
