5-meo-dmt & nasal bleeding

My gerbil recently experimented with some 5-meo-dmt in outer space. The gerbil insufflated a pretty low dose (6 mg) of crystals through a straw. There was no pain or any nasal feelings at all.


However, several hours after when blowing his nose, my gerbil noticed considerable amounts of blood in his snot. He had a cold all weekend and the poor rodent was blowing his nose often, but had not seen any blood before hand. He continued to blow blood for the rest of the day, with a little leakage afterwards sometimes. The next day there was a little bit of blood in the morning but by afternoon it there was none.


My gerbil has had experiences insufflating other substances and has never had quite this much bleeding.


question: Is this normal? My gerbil has little experience with 5-meo-dmt, and while he is confident it is indeed 5-meo-dmt he knows little of chemical structures or the different forms (freebase, hcl salt, etc) that it could come in, if any. Has anyone else experience bleeding when insufflating 5-meo-dmt crystals? Is the bleeding intensified at higher doses?


It's not that my gerbil is particularly concerned, but anytime he ingests strange chemicals through his nose and blows that much blood all day it is worth asking, dontcha think? My gerbil just thought it was such a small amount of anything to cause bleeding...
