Does anyone know of a cocaine or related alkaloids containing plant that is not scheduled? Are there plants which are related to the Erythroxy species? |

Yep, there are many within this genus that also contain cocaine, which are not specifically regulated...http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/duke...cal.pl?COCAINE(far from a complete list). Excludingtheones that are illegal the restare not worth cultivating since theydon't contain enough cocaine. Many plants in the Datura genus contain similar tropane alkaloids, but most chemists consider it impossible to go from these substances to cocaine for several reasons. I would say improbable... nothing is impossible.
