Salvia divinorum, not quite working?

Hey... I am new to this Salvia thing.



Me and some friends bought 2 grams of 10x salvia extract from a local
smoke shop. We went to the beach to do it. We used a bubbler. We read
guides on the internet and the guide that came with the salvia on how
to smoke it, and we followed it exactly.



Fill your lungs with smoke, all the way, and hold untill you cant hold
any more (we usually gave up around 30 seconds sometimes a little more)
I (and this is almost the same for my friends) didnt really have time
to get the 3rd hit in, right after the second hit i fell to the sand
and started laughing and rolling uncontrolablly with MILD</span></span>
(and i mean mild) visual effects, such as seeing faint colored dots
etc. other than that the only effects i had was basically just loss of
control. I couldnt control what i was saying, i couldnt stop laughing,
i couldnt really</span> control where i was moving, etc.



I tried salvia again the next night in a dark RV on the couch with a
curtain pulled over it. this time it was 15x extract. I smoked it the
same way, still, no major effects. When i closed my eyes, i didnt see
anything. When i opened them, i didnt see anything.



Why are we not getting the effects we are supposed to? such as out of body experiances, strong haullucinations, etc... ?

by the way, i was using a torch lighter.

similar to most mind altering substances salvias effects can be
different for different people aswell as in different situations.

sumtimes it takes me only 1 bong of a high extract to
experience fairly strong visual hallucinations. sometimes it
takes 3 or 4. i would just try packing more bongs as soon as
you are able too until you get the desired result.

oh yeah, 1 more thing that might interest you , i have (without
exception) always found that having alcohol in my system has
multiplied the effects of salvia.

The one time I bought Savlia Extract from a smoke shop it was
overpriced and VERY weak. It said it was 5x but I would be surprised if
wasnt more than just crushed dry leaves.



After that I got some off the internet and I was very surprised to see how potent it was.

I agree with Grecian, drinking a moderate amount of alcohol prior to salvia inhilation does seem to improve dramatically the effects.


Also keep trying, it takes lots of people a few times of trying before they have a proper salvia 'breakthrough'

yeah, after i finish up my 15x i think im done with smoke shop extract... it definatly IS overpriced...



I might try some 15x or maybe 20x from the internet who knows.



And about the alcohol, yeah, i will try that. How much though? just a
few beers? just untill it would be unsafe to drive? all out drunk?

Salvia has a reverse tolerance, the more you smoke it, the easier it will be to break through.



I have never heard about alcohol potentiating the effects of Salvia,
does it actually help to break through or just eccentuate the already
existing effects? SWIM will have to try this.

From my experience, Salvia works much better when other things are in
your system. In my most intense experience, I drank 2 beers, smoked 2
bowls of some hydroponic, and then smoked 2 bowls of 7x extract.
Intense visual hallucinations. I can only imagine salvia combined with
LSD. I'll have to try that next time.<!--

i dont think there is any point in getting completely drunk for
salvia cuz you wont remember much about it and you would
have no control over a really heavy trip (if u had one).

Just try drinking enough so u feel "merry" a few pints of beer
would do it for me but then everyone is different
