21 yrs old, used LSD twice: I feel "different" since.

i've used it twice, once in combo with ecstasy.

the 1st one was amazing, i didn't have one negative aspect to the whole
trip, i was up the whole night, saw amazing visuals, changing shapes
and colours, posters coming to life on walls, etc. my at the peak of my
thought my thought pattern was completely turbocharged, i can't
describe it. it's as if i had gained the ability to 'think in 3d',
thinking about many different issues and concepts simultaneously. also,
think of the mental relief and eltation you get when you find
something/solve a puzzle/realise something, well i had that exact
feeling prolonged over the peak of the trip, which was up to like 6 or
7 hours long maybe.

other features i remember of the experience were things like being so
tripping at one point that i was unable to form coherent sentences, and
was coming out with random stuff about egg and chips. also, early in
the trip, we were laughing a lot, and i mean completely laughing our
heads off like maniacs, so much so that the next day i could feel i'd
strained a muscle in my neck. The trip was done in a remote place far
from home, and on the way back i remember deeply emphasizing with one
girl's feelings who was standing opposite a bus stop we were at, who
looked really distressed as cars tried to beep at her thinking she was
a hooker.

what i'm worried about is that i don't think i have ever been the same.
i just don't FEEL the same. if i was to try to describe the change, i'd
say i have become more absent-minded since then, but also i think
deeper more often. it's as if my mind has been permanently lifted to a
higher level of consciousness, and i grasp trivial issues less readily,
like for example i have often been in the house, cooking or some shit,
and been thinking so hard about certain issues that i leave the oven on
or some shit.

LSD can change you. Isn't that why you took it?

A one-Post newbie. Welcome to the Forum, matei. If you would have taken a minute to go through the LSD Forum Thread-titles, you would see: "Does Acid permanently change u?This is a Thread which has info on your question.

You have had a change in your thought-processing: "my mind has been permanently lifted to a higher level of consciousness, and i grasp trivial issues less readily". Are you happy about this change? It doesn't sound like you are. If you want to keep the same, just Lay Off the LSD.

Not everyone wants change. When in doubt, don't do it.

i never said i am happy or unhappy. if i was to give an answer,
i'd say i'ts been overall a positve change, but it's got it's pluses
and minuses. will probably do acid again, but will make sure i am very
very fit, feeling very good, and have some sort of form of creative
output at close hand, like a laptop or paper and pen, because i am a
creative writer and i think acid will be able to get the real raw stuff
out of my mind and onto the page

You didnt hurt a muscle in your neck from laughing, acid seems to cause muscle and jaw pain and soreness the day after at least in me and my friends. Though ive heard the less pure the acid the more likely it is to cause this but that may be an urban myth.

Pure, Impure . . . Acid is Acid.

Dogcow ponders: "i've heard the less pure the acid the more likely it is to cause this [physical problems] but that may be an urban myth."

This question is better answered by looking scientifically at a Hit of Acid. The TOTAL amount of non-Blotter in a Hit is much less than one Milligram (maybe a tenth of a milligram, if you're lucky).

Let's say that the entire amount (one hundred micro-grams) is "impurities"; the chemicals which would compose that impurity are tiny, indeed. Most chemicals (even actual poisons) can do Nothing to me, unless they weigh more than several milligrams. LSD is one of the only things in the world that can affect a human being in such a small dose.

Acid has been around for many years. If there was a super-powerful impurity, some scientist would have documented it. But, of all the reports about LSD, no one has discussed it. Therefore, I am free to believe that whatever impurity may be in the Acid, that it does not affect me. One more Urban Legend bites the dust.

Ahh i see theen,

Has anyone explained the phenomenon of neck and jaw tension ? I'm really curious why only those who areas are affected and it seems to vary from batch to batch. One batch of acid i I had this was almost unbearable, the next day i'd wake up feeling like someone had punched me in the face. This batch its not that bad at all. Is it dosed less do you think?

regards

I've had the neck and jaw tension you describe nearly every trip I've taken. My facial muscles are also usually sore. I have no doubt it is from the hours of smiling and laughing. The absentmindedness you describe will usually pass after a few days. I haven't noticed any prolonged absentmindedness or short-term memory loss from lsd. I did notice this problem when I smoked pot heavily though.

Every experience we have in life changes us permanently to some degree. The intensity of an acid trip makes this change more noticable, imo.
