MS IR Pills, Help with ’Binders’

SWIm has a stash of 30mg MSIR tabs, that are uniform in color and inner consistency, with "Ethex" on one side, and "30" on the other, they are brown in color. I have tried to converted them into Morphine Hcl, using a baking soda method, and was playing around with acetic acid as well. In all the homebake methods I have read, they all say to "do this to the pill mass" or "add baking soda to pill mass after it falls apart." My question is, with all the fillers and binders in the pill, is this was is screwing up the reaction, as I keep getting fizzing masses of green guck. I dont want to follow these methods, only to end up supposedly then injecting the whole mass, which is full of binders, stuff I would never let my friend, SWIM, inject. The methods all describe their 'how-to's' as if the pill was 100% morphine power. Well, shall I extract the Morp frist with the clod-water method? After I boil it down, I get this hardened film as the bottom of my little glass bowl that I am cooking in. No residue, which is seems I 'should' be getting, as all these posts describe, "dry the reisdue," or "add to the residue, which should be dry."


Any thoughts?
