Hey everyone. Last saturday I tried Ecstasy for the first time. I ate
one pill and snored half another. They were Blue Dolphines. But
anyway- my question is: How unhealthy is it to use this drug? I
understand that E puts holes in your brian after too many uses and
will continue to do so. I was thinking about getting some E again,
but since I am young I don't know how I feel about this "holes in an
undeveloped mind" kinda thing. Will it make it harder for me to
learn? How many times is too many? If I were to Use E just once or
twice a month, what would the outcome be? Any other information
you have on this subject, please share thanks!

E doesnt cause holes in your brain , thats a misconception after some researchgroup released testresults of a study on monkeys where they injected meth straight into the brain claiming they administered the monkey's MDMA .

But that doesnt mean XTC is a safe drug to use whenever you please. In short XTC releases HUGE ammounts of serotonine into the brain and raises your dopamine and adrenaline levels. All these substances are your bodies own supplies and there called neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters regulate a whole range of brainfunctions , for instance serotonine is linked toy our sleepfunction , memory , and your general mood. Almost all antidepression medications are based on altering your serotonine production and reuptake.

1 hit of XTC will deplete your serotonine levels to such an extend your body will need 4 to 6 weeks to regain its original levels. Taking this drug more could result in sideeffects like depression , loss of memory, muscle spasms (in extreme cases).

There's also the issue of neurotoxicity, there's been lots of studies about this but none are really conclusivefor a whole range of reasons. Some say there's 0 braindamage , some say there's temporary damage, others claim it could be permament.

I'm gonna go with at least temporary seeing that the sideeffects chronic users seem to show can be explained by how this damage would occur .

There's basicly3 types of damage when it comes to use of XTC. 1 is simply thedepletion of serotonine which on its own isnt that big an issue . The second is damage to your reuptake thingies (forgot the proper term hehheheeheh) . Its been theorised that after XTC has released those shitloads of serotonine into your brain and your supply has been depleted . The higher then usual ammounts of dopamine actually damage your serotonine reuptake thingies by clinging unto them . Now this is combo with damagetype 1 can be a problem cause you need the reuptake thingys to replenish your serotonine levels.

Then there's damage type 3, its been measured in lab animals that taking XTC will raise the ammounts of free radicals in your brain by quite a bit . Free radicals are unstable molecules that are ready to make a bond with basicly any other molecule it comes across . That bonding results in celldamage . In later cancer studies there's a whole lot of mention about these free radicals .

hmmm i gotta go out now , so maybe someone can finish my post about guidelines when taking E especially the use of antioxidants and 5HTP to counteract some of the damage X supposedly does to your brain, or i will when i get back.Edited by: xprŽk

Basically what xpr'k has stated. Moderate your intake to no more than once a month. And do come back when you are 18+. Sorry, but you gotta go! Bye!
