Salvia divinorum smoking idea

This is one of those random ideas we all have:



Since Salvinorin A vaporizes at a higher temperature than plant
material, would it be possible to pack a bowl, then light just a bit
with a normal lighter and have the ember thoroughly burn through the
plant material, then hitting the ashes with a torch lighter to vaporize
the salvinorin a still present in the ash without the irritating smoke
caused by the combustion of the plant material.

I think heat can destroy the salvornium but you need a higher temp to activate, i think

Anybody try it yet? I don't really have access to salvia anymore
or I would, and I'm really curious whether this'd work or not.

Tried it. It works well, however its hard to pull off. It
took me three times to get it to work. I believe that some of the
Salvinorin-A is destroyed or in the smoke of the lower temperature
lighter.
