IV Cocaine Dilemma
SWIM is just asking some advice from people who have gone through shit in the past… SWIM enjoys IVing coke very much, and hasn’t now for a couple months. </span>Is it worth it to get back into it? </span>The real problem is that few “normal” people are down with the whole injecting thing (What the fuck... needles, blood, coke; fun right? ). </span>As a result, its a very alienating habit i.e.track-marks, sketching off to the bath room every hour (people are always like, “where the fuck did you just go?”), missing classes cause you’ve been fiending all night, and so on. </span>And SWIM also finds that when he's been shooting that he gets really drunk very quickly and suddenly, do you think this may be a result of watered down blood? </span> So, what do some of you veterans out there think… what did you do when faced with similar choices? </span>Thanks for your advice. |

SWIM stayed off for 3 years and snorted a couple of lines with in a week he was back to shooting like a junkie again. In SWIM's opinion ifsomeone has had a problem with IV beforethey probably will again no matter how long its been. Injecting anything except insulin will always be socially unacceptable unless you exclusively hang out with junkies.

IV'ing coke, man I've seen SWIM (who had lost most his veins to H) spend almost all day with a needle in his body (at least a few hours at a time) cause every time he got a good hit it would die down and he would want another....that was THE quickest way to loose veins in his opinion....Do what you want man, but since you asked I would say NO, stay away from the IV if at all possible. SWIMS been there and done that and it held him back ALOT....it also lost its "funness" real quick and became obsessive, his sex drive died, and SWIMS arms, feet, and hands were always swollen and were starting to form abcesses at every iv site. I know it is tempting and I am no one to be high and mighty on you, but if you can stay away....smoke some mj, relax....enjoy life. Also it has been proven that alcohol is a huge trigger for past coke addicts....There may be some synergy going on, be careful with mixing coke with anything....your heart will thank you....Also everytime you shoot you risk a heart attack, blood infections, secondary site infections, and all sorts of other problems that go with iv ing an unclean product...be careful man.Edited by: acolon_5 |

Yeah, i agree with acolon_5, even tho' i IV heroin on a daily basis, the 'rate' of use, ie a couple of times a day..at the most 4, using clean needles EVERYTIME & rotating injection sites, means that my arms are still holding out after 14 years!! But i've noticed that those who IV coke, & even meth, tend to fuck up their arms (& every other place that they can get a vein) REAL QUICK!!!!!! Just the 'anaesthetic' effect on the injection site, i think, tends to encourage being 'rough' & not 'gentle', or clean, for that matter! As much as i love the feel of the steel...in terms of coke..STAY AWAY FROM NEEDLES!!! bE-bOP ![]() ![]()

You gotta think about what your going to get out of it. The bad and the good. If you can abstain for this long, you might as well quit. I mean honeslty, there aren't many people who are occasional IV coke users. You ether shoot the dopr or you dont. It seems to me like you have had lots of problems in the past with the yayo but you were about to alienate your self from cocaine for a good amount of time. If you have gone this long you might as well keep going man. If you think its worth it, that one shot, that may lead to one more, and one more and so on, then go for it, but I think both you and I know what one shot is going to do. I think the risks outweight the benefits. Save your money and buy something you can keep for more than a few hours. I would hate to seeyou get addicted again man. Needles carry a bad stigma for exactly this reason. Most the people who shoot are helpless. The drug is completely in control of them. Ipersonally dont have a problem with needles or people who shoot, it just sucks to see someone throw their life awayfor quick fixes. You should be proud that you have gone several months w/o using. That takes a lot of control. Keep it up and you will be fine. Im not going to preach you though, in the end you will decide for yourself, butjust think what the future might hold if you decide to start shooting again.

<!--[if gte vml 1]> </v:ulas> <o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"/> </v hape></v hape><![endif]-->Yo, thanks guys... you're probably right. Swim stillthrows down on grams with friends on weekends, but that has been restricted to purely nasal-canon action. Swim just hates how the thought tickles in the back of his mind every now and again for a little IV binge. Anyways, guess theres nothing to do at this point except say "Back fiend!" and just try to forget about it… cause lord knows SWIM doesn’t have much control with that bitter-sweet yayo. Thanks all and good luck. |
