"Solids" Left Over from Mushroom Tea

SWiM is thinking of making some mushroom tea tonight, and is curious if
its worth saving/eating the solid remains left over from the batch, or
if SWIMI should discard them?

SWiM was going to head down to a health store and pick up some Yerba
Mate, green tea, and a few other things to make a tasty tea, boil that
for a bit to get the most out of the Yerba, then dice up the mushrooms
really finley (possibly try and powder them as much as possible to
increase surface area), and toss them in.

Should SWiM put the mushroom remains into a teabag to keep it seperate
from the other solids, then also eat them after the tea is made, or
will all of the good stuff already be leached out, and just be
subjecting SWiM to a rather unpleasent texture in trying to eat them?
