i was in 7-11 the other day and noticed all the energy boosters and stimulants at the counter...anyone ever try these? was wondering if they'd give you a sorta rush like high if you take enough?

check out what's the active substance, mostly likely caffeine ( coffee, guarana, kola etc), ephedrine (ephedra, ma huang, sida cordifolia...) amino acids, vitamins... and read up on that would be my suggestion

any legal stimulant sucks and ephedrine hcl/ephedra has more side effects than most illegal stimulants...

not to mention... well actually to mention... ephedrine or ephedra is
illegal in the usa... so u wont find it in any erngy type of object sold around... so if your like a little picker upper after a short sleep or little energy waker upper.. .then ya take some or a can of energy drink... will do as much to ya as caffeine... but dont take to many of either cause it will just upset your stomach... i take energy drinks when i dont get much sleep... helps me... caffeine just makes me feel like shit so i dont take it anymore... cept in minimal accounts like soda... also i had a strange reaction to coffee... two hours after i drink... i start to sneeze a bit... only with coffee... so its not really the caffeine... not a big deal but weird non the less... |

the things I don't like about caffeine is the way it can tense up my muscles and act on blood circulation (cold hands) even hours after drinking some (I'm thinking franco-italian style dark machine expresso here), which is something that bothered me a lot as a musician when I had gigs. So i stopped coffee for some years, but now i'm back on a moderate loop. Nicotine does pretty much the same for circulation actually. Another thing I don't like about is the delay, especially if you plan on taking a nap, i'm sensitive to caffeine which causes me to not be able to lose consciousness and drift off to sleep, especially a few hours after a cup, when it hits. I really prefer the non jittery stimulation of coca tea, which is not a problem to import here, but unfortunatly the last boxes were not of very good quality, much weaker than coffee in a way. b |

Coca tea enjoys having a pinch of baking soda placed in the cup to make the active alkaloid more soluble in the water. Give that a shout instead of coffee for breakfast! It is Bongo-Approved.

I didn't see anybody mention betel nuts. I love em they keep me up and a little euphoric without the jitters....good stuff

I have read that chewing betel nut will stain your teeth bright red. Not sure if this is a bad thing. I love scaring dentists!
