Methyl Salicylate

I've noticed that some ecstacy contains Methyl Salicylate, does anyone know the importance of this or the effects that it causes?

How did you notice that it contains Methyl Salicylate? It is used as a placebo for MDMA (does not work alike) and is highly toxic. There is no reason I can think of, that adding this "oil of wintergreen" would contribute to the satisfaction of the customers of the producer.

Wow...kind of a late reply to your reply but my computer blew up. Anyway I try to never take pills unless I know about them a bit. I came across some Arrowhead pills and checked around on them, mostly through dancesafe...and it had oil of wintergreen orMethyl Salicylate. I never ended up taking them but I knew some people that did. Your 100% correct they were fakes. Thanks for the info though.
