(What follows is based entirely on stuff I've heard at parties and seen around the place, and is almost certainly full of misconceptions.) There is a cult who believe that the number 11:11 controls the universe. When you see 11:11 on, for example,a clock or a bus timetable (or any time you see four vertical lines ), you're seeing a manifestation of God. They cite all kinds of reasons why this particular number is signifcant. They're one of these numerological/ mathematical cults. They have calculated certain times and places where some sort of interdimensional vortexes or something will crop up. I remember there was one due to appear somewhere in Ireland last year, and there were coaches leaving Dublin to take people to this vortex. I wonder how that worked out for them. I was at Burning Man this year, and 11:11 had a camp there, which I half-intended tocheck out,but never got around to.http://www.crystalinks.com/11.11.html |

11:11 is my favorite time for some reason. It was my favorite time before I heard anything about it. Lots of people make a wish at 11:11, or at any time where all the numbers are the same. I think it was Pithgorean (Spelling ??) who had a cult also who believed 1 was a magical number or something along these lines. They also belived all numbers were "real" and there was no thing as imaginary numbers. Someone proved them wrong and he was shrown off a boat and killed. Thats why they invented square roots i think. HEHE im just rambling, but yea its wierd I happen to see 11:11 so often.

Yeah, Pythagoras founded a cult on the island of Samos that revered whole numbers. He (or one of his followers; they all gave him credit for their work) was the first to discover about musical harmonies depnding on there being whole number ratios between different notes. They thought that everthing was made of numbers: oneness is a point, twoness is a line, threeness is a triangle, fourness is a square etc. and the presence of different numbers in their pure, abstract forms gave rise to material reality. They also believed that the planets' orbits were in whole number ratios to each other, so that as they moved, their harmonic motion gave rise to a cosmic music: The Music Of The Spheres. One problem with their theory of things being numbers was that of irrational numbers. By Pythagoras' therom (which they did not discover, though it is attributed to them), if you have a right-angled triangle with two sides equal to one unit, the hypoteneuse has a length of root two. Root two is an irrational number: it is inexpressible in terms of whole number ratios and that didn't fit in at all with their worldview. |

You have the equivalent of an atomic clock in your head. Through the power of suggestion, and being stoned and mystified, you have managed to set your internal clock to 11:11. So you tend to unconsciously look at a clock at this time. I have a friend who did the same thing, only he set his for 10:47. Go figure. |

another thing is u can repeat to yourself right before u go to sleep...
what time u need to wake up.. look at the clock... and repeat what time u need to wake up about 20 or more times... and tell youself i need to wake up at this time fully awake and refreshed... this will help u wake up at that time and ready to go... helps alot... |
