Whenever i smoke weed for a long time everyday, several times a day- i gain weight cause i get munchies so often.
Thats the only thing i hate about weed-munchies. I wish it was like coke and supressed</span> hunger! I need tips on how to stop the munchies!!!!! PLEASE! -thanks! |

its a very strong prescription pain killer. pretty much synthetic heroin. its in oxycontin.

Oxycontin is more like morphine, i'd say (based on what i was told by someone who does heroin). Besides, trying to improve your marijuana high by adding another drug kind of kills the point.
Eat non fattening stuff when you have the munchies. Or go to the pharmacy and ask for an apetite supressant. |

Adding drugs isn't the best option...but stimulants such as adderall
and ritalin will kill your appetite more so than opiates like oxycodone. Drink water, that fills up your stomach, and eat some non fattening stuff before the fatty foods. |

I just keep busy . . . no time to think about what-else-to-do. If I WANT to get the Munchies, I just have to put something boring on TV. Some days my Mind is shot. I Vaporize a couple Grams of Chronic, and stare at a mindless show or 2. Soon enough, I will be grabbing for a bag of Ruffles Potato Chips. As the second show ends, so does the bag of Chips. If I watch another couple of Losers, the Munchies can return; so I put on a Favorite movie. Zoom. The Munchies are behind me. Most other days I get High, I plan things to do. Being out-and-about in the Real World, helps to change the energy of my High, and so I forget about eating. Things to do. |

Solidly-here seems to have the basic idea down. Idle hands are the Devil's play toys... especially when you are blitzed out of your mind. Plan stuff to do... I like to work-out when I'm REALLY gone. Try finding a gym with a rock wall. I really can't think of too many things more rewarding than making it all the way around a rock wall when you're blazed up... So much fun. |

Just eat something that is not junk food, but is still really good!
Banana chips or those asian rice and seaweed snacks are better than potatoe chips. Nuts are good, even though they are not low-fat they are better than potato chips. Start buying fruit and veggies that are organic, or from a farmer's market and keep them available to yourself in a convenient way. For example, buy some carrots and celery, bell peppers or whatever you like and right when you get them home, cut them into sticks and keep in tupperware, wrapped in a dampened paper towel for freshness. Make a dip with stuff like low-fat yogurt, tahini, garlic, fresh herbs, hot pepper, etcetera. Also-homemade popcorn is cheap, easy, filling and low-fat. Sprinkle it with lowry's seasoned salt and you're set...or make it sweet with some powdered sugar and cinnamon. Yum. |

A cup of green tea with a little lemon and honey will get rid of cotton mouth and the accompanying munchies (unless you are really hungry)

when u start to get the munchies, just drink a massive glass of water, it usually works to take my hunger away for a while and then when it starts to come back, i just fill another glass of water, but if u are staying high all day, u will prolly eventually need some food so this is only if ur getting high for like 2-3 hours |

Green tea is a great suggestion, SWIM will be sure to try it. A variety
of over-the-counter appetite suppressents do exist, ask your local pharmacist or doctor. |

THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION:
When you have the munchies, eat only fruits and vegetables in their raw form. Especcially fruits if you are used to junkfood because they are sugary sweet and good for you. The catch with fruits and veggies that I love when I'm high is they do not make your high shorter, or make your high go down. That is because only food with carbohydrates do that. Fruits and veggies will not have that effect. Strawberries, watermelon,just think of your favorite fruits and stock up. Fruits are incredibly delicious when I am stoned, and all the juices make it better ten fold. And, theres no weight gain involved

The killer munchies
everytime SWIM smokes pot, he gets the munchies. simple as that. most of the time he can resist the urge to eat food...as delicious as it may be
![]() anyway, getting to the point, SWIM avoids eating because it kills his high. its at the point now where SWIM can use food to sober up, if need be. i, personally, dont understand how food being digested in your stomach would affect your high caused by THC absorbing through your lungs through the bloodstream. anyone else have this problem, or know why it happens? or is it simply a placebo-type effect? |

i have heard alot of poeple saying that eating sobers them up.
Well, i think its all placebo. I can eat right after i smoke and im still high as hell. Maybe you think you are less high because you are expecting to be less high, or just because time has passed by and the high is wearing off. |

I think a lot of it is time passed, but I think it could also be physical. I'm not a biologist by any means, or a doctor, but I would think that eating and causing your blood sugar level to change, as well as whatever else may be in what you're eating (caffiene, niacin, etc) may have an effect on your high, and can cause it to lessen or change.

I think that the reason you get less high after you eat is because of the physical activity. Think about it; If you don't eat, youre focused on laughing and having a good time. If you're eating, you have to get food using your hands, fill your mouth with food, chew it with your jaws, swallow, think about how good the next bite will be etc.
When you chew, your jaws work. That means that your thoughts are a little bit on your chewing. So the high kind of slips away. |
