Effects - Mushrooms vs. LSD

somone told me shroom trips and acid trips are very simular andi was wondering if this was true

To some degree yes, to some degree no. Its like saying an apple (acid) is like a mango (mushrooms)because theyare bothfruit, and not carbohydrates (stimulants) or meat (downers). But they are still fairly different at intricate level of hallucinogenic experience. Generally I find LSD trips to be more visual/perceptual, whereas on mushrooms I feel more tripped out. High doses of either substance can be very intense, although I would say high does acid is moreso (but this is pretty subjective); alsol, I generally find a medium dose acid trip more enjoyable than the equivalent mushroom trip.

Can i ask how u got this number? just wondering sense LSD is chemical (right?) and mushies are natural. the active ingredients are completly different and therefor it will effect you different... idk j/w how the number was obtained?

I found a hit of lsd (blotter) to be far more potent than 2 grams of dried cubensis.

Muirner: LSD and psylocibin are both tryptamines and rather related. Thus it should be easy to make a potency comparison. That said i have no idea how he came up with that number or what the correct number would be.

Last week i took 3 hits of acid and felt barely anything. Ive also tripped balls off of 1 hit.

Same goes for shrooms. The strongest trip i ever had from shrooms was on 2.5 grams. I've also eaten up to 7 grams.\



The only similarity between the 2 is that they both make you trip.

the only possible way you could compare them would be comparing
psyclobin to LSD, both being tryptamines. perhaps xxmg of psyclobin
could be comparable to xxug of LSD, but this is very variable per
mushroom and per hit of acid and almost impossible to know by the
common user.

it really depends on the acid for one and also 2 grams isent that much mushies....the most ive ever done is 4 grams but i plan to do a quad of mushrooms soon

I disagree with you guys on one thing, LSD and shrooms to me are VERY similiar substances. Similiar enough for one to easily be a substitute for the other.

they are close the halltionations are very similir but the head trips are quite diffreent..when im on mushrooms...it seems really intense at times..but acid im jus totally gone and fucked up...on lsd i hear lots of voices and i can even think words and a big loud voice in my head will say them...i have found that mushrooms teach me life lessons..help me face my fear and issuess. where aicd helps you create your own reality. first you need to clear up your life (mushrooms) then expand your mind into different dementions (lsd)

they are two completely different drugs and cannot really be compared.

i havent tried acid yet, but i find 30g's of fresh shrooms very potent.

I've yet to get my hands on acid (though not for lack of trying), but I
would expect not. Aside from the fact that they are two different
substances, from what i've experienced of shrooms that wouldn't be
enough to cause a comparably intense trip to acid.

One good hit of acid is definatly way better then 2g of shrooms, 2g is auctally a small amount in SWIM's book he thinks 3.5-4.5g would be more equal to a good hit of cid

The fact that they're both tryptamines doesn't mean tehy're comparable. I mean, even melatonin is a tryptamine; that doesn't mean the effects will be similar. The two molecules are really nothing alike, as you can see here:

It probably comes with experience.There is no way i could compare psilo. and LSD.Each tryptamineis unique.But i have found out that some a bit less experienced people cant tell the difference between LSD,LSA,2c-x(!) and x-AMT,x-DiPT not to mention shrooms.Some poor bastard even compared LSD with THC..tc.tc.tc

come on, hahahah, how could you even think to compare lsd and thc,
those are nothing alike. as for shrooms vs. acid, as GDxCAT said,
you can't compare the two at all, totally different, as a substitute
for acid, even though it's not the same in many many ways, i found
smoking a bit along with some amt was fun, as ken babbs said, it
propped open the LSD door, not swining it open, just like a foot in the
door.

haha, glad to hear you know what i'm talkin bout, it's a great
alternative if you can't seem to get your hands on lucy. and as
for the original question, i've given it some thought, and i'm pretty
sure/hopeful that he knows that LSD and shrooms are nothing alike, but
as for how fucked you get from each amount? i've found that i can get
alot more out of a hit of acid than out of 2 grams of shrooms, lately
an 1/8 of shrooms doesn't even really cut it for me anymore, but
everyone reacts differently to drugs. another thing to note about
LSD and Shrooms, tolerance seems to go up a lot faster with shrooms
then LSD.
