hello all have people been experimenting with catuaba bark ? It's steeped in cachaça in Brasil and said to be an aphrodisiac and possibily stimulant. Plant said to belong to the same family as coca. erythroxylum) Never felt that much from 30g catuaba infusions however... any input ? thanks |

Bring the water to a slow, gentle boil with the catuaba in it for 20
minutes. Then turn off the heat, cover, and let sit until it is room temp, then strain. Sweeten with honey. Better still, use a 50/50 mix of catuaba bark and yohimbe bark, cooked as above. Found better effects cooked like that in water, than I did soaking it in alcohol and then drinking the alcohol. |

that's pretty much what is meant by a 30g infusion...never felt anything really. maybe it was the honey ? ![]() the aphrodisiac effect is supposed to build up after some days (weeks) of use, but it's also supposed to have immediate effects, such as mood enhancement, stimulation...nothing Yohimbe, last time it was tried ended up overstimulated, unable to sleep, pretty much in an ephedrine like night. not fantastic |

Just checking. Some people I have known on the forums would call
soaking the herb in cold water for a length of time an infusion. The catuabe, if good, will give a mild effect. But really, it's not a "drink once, get one buzz" type of thing. Typically one would drink it every day for a week or two, then notice erotic effects while waking and while receiving sexual stimulus. Also, after drinking it for a while, one may notice one's dreams are containing lots of erotic content; and that memory of these erotic dreams is retained after waking up. |
