Wanting to try heroin for first time

SWIM is an avid IV cocaine user, and has tried just about every opiate pill there is, and really really wants to try heroin. Have heard it is almost a mystical experience the first time. Right now SWIM is researching where to buy it, and living in a big city, he is guessing that the best way to go about it is to go the seedy part of town and just let this guy standing on the corner with a backpack that he is *shopping*, and go from there. If that isn't a good idea, please let SWIM know. Also, I know that it can't be discussed here, but SWIM has absolutely no clue as to pricing for heroin, so maybe there is another website somewhere he can find that. Please post any tips,pointers or other pertinent info SWIM should know before trying for first time. Thanks!

I would suggest staying away from it. If you do like it, and which you
probably will, it is extremely hard not to do it very occasionally.



If you do chip(use every one in a while), you will still always think
about the amazing high you get. Thats why there are so few chippers.



Everybody is different though, you could use once and forget it about
it like some people, or you could decide that you only want to use just
once a month. I would suggest doing alot of research and and talking to
people. If you are looking for a hookup, it is relatively easy. You
just have to have ambition and ask tons and tons of people, but be
cautious about your money, make sure you see the product before you
hand over any money, and see if you can get a taste, you dont want to
be buying coco powder.

here's a "me too" post as far as stayin away from it. however, i
know people are gonna do what they want and i'm just saying don't do it
because swim's experience with it was one amazing high followed by
years of pure hell trying to chase down that feeling again.
everyone's different, though. also, and this is IMPORTANT: do a
little research about your local laws. I have heard from a VERY
reliable source that the drug laws in Louisiana are ESPECIALLY harsh
when it comes to the harder drugs like H. For example, what would
be misdemeanor (sp.?) possesion in another state is FELONY possesion in
Louisiana and carries the possibility of a LIFE SENTENCE!!!! That is
some scary shit, and i couldn't hardly believe it when i was told...but
the guy who told me was a Louisiana Sherrif's Deputy, so i kinda tend
to think he wasn't lying. This is something you would definitely want
to find out about before you go looking for shit...i know i would
anyway.

Obviously, you're gonna try it when you find the opportunity. I say go ahead but just be aware that if you use on a consistent basis for maybe a week then your body will become dependent on it and you willbe sick when you dont have it. It is not too hard of a drug to try and just leave it alone. Its not real addictive in that sense. So when you try it, dont think , "Oh, that stuff isnt too addicting i'm not cravin it but ima get some more, that aint so bad" DO NOT DO THIS because thats the thing wit BOY, give it about a week with this mindset and it becomes a PHYSICAL addiction not a mental one. It never really was a mentaladdiction it wasthe naiveness of the user to keep tryin it until they became PHYSically addicted. You dont want this itll fuck ur life up so bad and when you cant get your fix because ur body needs it youll shit on urself uncontollablywit little or no warningand/or throwin up, dry heavin. Its not anything nice. Trust me on this one bro. Of all the mainstream drugs this one is by far the BLACK SHEEP. Hope this helps in ur decision.

thanks for all the concern and good advice, it is taken with heed, I guess I will just stick to mainlining coke, which I think I am going to take a roadtrip to see my old dealer, try to score an ounce maybe if I can scrape together the cash. I currently nursing a good hydro/ativan buzz for most of the day.

Everyone should do what they think is right for them, but i kinda going to agree with most of the other posts in saying, "Don't try it in case you like it" (i wish i hadn't!!!)- but then i reread the original post where Hyperlytheum says, "..tried about every opiate pill there is.."- while shooting heroin is like the difference between snorting & mainlining coke (sorta anyway), it seems to me that Hyperlytheum has already started down that slippery slope. I haven't known too many people that have managed to desist once they have had that first 'tickle' of opiates & decided that they like it- even (especially) when they tell themselves that they won't do it too often...Hyperlytheum, i have two bits of advice for you (feel free to ignore them- i'm just a fucked old junky..)If you love mainlining coke it won't be too long till you turn to opiate use just for fucking relief, I've seen LOTS of people drift from uppers to smack for that reason & then find that the nature of opiates is such that it is much, MUCH harder to get off ....Second, (just to prove that i'm not being judgemental)..if you can't score by wandering around the 'seedy' part of town..find out if there is some kinda methadone program, or even an NA meeting..go there & ask the 'pin-pricked' people...just be prepared to offer whoever it is a decent taste for an INTRODUCTION, don't go with anyone who wants to drag out the 'free' tastes to score for you..offer ONE free one for an intro & THATS IT!!! On the other hand, i would find out , for SURE, what the penalties are for your new state, for coke as well..i mean if the penalties are the same & you are still going to do coke, what the fuck, right? But it seems to me your going to end up on smack in any event! (prove me wrong! PLEASE!!) GOOD LUCK!!! (whatever happens)

SWIM as the same damn problem, and he lives in Italy, where its supposed to be much more easier to find these kind of stuff ( on the mediterannean sea, near africa, you know..). But the same he cant find a damn hook fof H. Everything but H!!!

Swims having the same problem, it doesn't help that every one in this town is out to fuck you and swim doesn't exactly look the most threatening. He thinks hes going to try to get an intro from a current used rather than looking on the streets, cos its just too easy to get ripped off.

I must admit that I´m a bit surprised of how many aspiring junkies there seem to be.
As one who has been living, loving , fighting and damning heroin for well more than two decades, I feel an obligation to remind these addict wanna bees that the problem is not to find heroin but to get rid of it once you found it.
Anyway since it appears that you already have made up your minds, and that anyone is free to choose his own damnation , for what is worth, let me try to give you one suggestion that could possibly help you to limit the inevitable damage.
If you really decided to get to know this jalous and all consuming mistress (and I invite you again to think some more about it); there is anyway no need to bring her into your everyday life.
Meet her in another town, keep her for some very special occasion , if possible take a trip abroad to enjoy her.
Not only you will get much better quality for a fraction of the price, but maybe you will be able to avoid to make her a part of your daily routine and reality; you will avoid legal troubles in your country, and if you are very lucky you would be able to have the kind of relation some people have with an exotic, passionate but secret lover.

To the guy from Louisiana I want to ask why not take a trip to Mexico? -Besides getting much better stuff and saving a lot of greenbacks, a young yank south of the Rio Bravo get offered all kind of vices at every street corner.
When you´ll come back you will still be able to go on with your life and maybe to look forward to the next trip.
As for the italian guy, if he can´t find her in his neighborhood ,it means that he is living in one of those beautiful small provincial town of the Belpaese.
Better.
Take a train (not your car unless someone else will drive you back) and go to the capoluogo of your region. From the pages of your local newspaper´s "cronaca cittadina" you can find out where to go for your shopping and then just enjoy the trip to the big city.
Go to a museum, to the movies,to a disco, a concert, whatever, and then go back to your town and your life and never invite your private, shameful vice to come home with you.
Even better,if you can, do it during an holiday abroad. Kenya is just seven hours away from Rome on a low cost flight, or to stay in Europe, Spain or Croatia or northern Europe are easy places to score.
Just don´t take this monster back home with you.
You risk having to spend the rest of your life running away from it; just like it happened to someone I know.

SWIM is currently attempting to end his heroin addiction. He turned to heroin because of his chronic back pain and lack of painkillers. It took SWIM only an hour to find some smack, and he immediatley purchased eleven bags. After four weeks of snorting and shooting, SWIM finds that he cannot stay awake for long peroids of time and his life is slowly falling apart. It is currently his 12th day locked in his room, and it is only just now that SWIM is getting a grip. Once it is all over, SWIM will remove himself from any environment that H is easily accessable, for fear that he will have to go through this again.

Well, if you're like SWIM you will find it quicker than you expect if you really want it. SWIM sure as hell won't recommend it, but if you can moderate using cocaine intravenously then you're stronger than most people. The addiction is completely different though. You may be able to handle and kick any psychological addiction but opiate dependence is *universal* and there are no limits to how bad withdrawal can get. Get shot up with naltrexone by a stupidass drunk PA in the ER while averaging about 5 bags of H a day plus another half gram of pharmaceutical opiates and suddenly the idea of getting burned at the stake seems like a nice vacation to a tropical paradise where you lounge around and drink margaritas all day. Do a bag or two a week (try to keep 3 days between usage) and you might not experience much at all. How much physical hell you go through depends on how much, how often, and how long you use. Maybe you can chip. SWIM sure couldn't with IV coke.
