Flashbacks? LSD in backbone?

Hi, We all heard about flashbacks but there are some things i always wondered in my whole life ....

What exactly does a flashback do?

Do u start hallucinating asif u just had acid? Or is it more like a Deja-Vu feeling without hallucinating?

And is it true or a myth that the LSD u took stays in your backbone for the rest of ur life?
