well im pretty sure there a thread for this but... same reason that xtc has so many non mdma components why make 1 strong pill when you can make 3 weak ones, its a monetary thing, or maybe its a "spread the joy thing" less cooks so the cooks make less potent ones so more ppl can have a taste or maybe thats just a pipe dream.

It's not the Quality ... it's the Quantity.

Bibobi wonders: "The acid quality now isnt as good as it used to be..." This isn't true (as far as I have ever heard). What the problem is (if it's a problem at all), is that the Blotter-manufacturers put LESS LSD onto each Blotter.

The issue is not that there are MORE impurities in the Hits than there was several years ago.

If I had just made a Gram of LSD, and wanted to sell it ... How much money would I want to make from it? If I sell 50-micro-Gram Hits, I can make 20,000 of them. But, if I sell 100-mic Hits, I can only make 10,000 Hits out of my Gram.

Probably pure mathamatics, however this is also a symptom of the current social environment which favors profit over quality. When Acid exploded in the 60's there was an idealogy which drove it's rise to popularity, and without going into too much social commentary, I'll say, that ideaology had little if nothing to do with economics.

Wanting to make money . . . it only started in the 90s?

Gee, Doc Holliday, are you kidding? I have been laughing for a while. Do you think that for all of history, people have never thought much about making a profit? Well, that isn't true. Even in the 60s, there were a lot of people who were VERY interested in making more money. And even 1000s of years ago, there were many people who stole, and cheated, and took advantage of others (why do you think the 10 Commandments were needed?).

I remember a quote that David Letterman made several years ago: "This was made the American way . . . Shoddily, with an eye for profit."

So, when I hear you state that avid money-making "is also a symptom of the current social environment which favors profit over quality," I think you must have slept through your history classes in school.

The spirit of the 60s still lives. There are still communes, where people live together in harmony. There are still many people who make up Blotters, and are very generous with the amount of LSD in each one. There are people who re-sell LSD (and other drugs) to their friends at-Cost (I do this, too). The World is full of good things, and good people.

The Network news does not show the 6 Billion people each day who have NOT had something awful happen to them ... or the Billions of people who are nice ...but they are there, quietly living their lives.

Not a money-grubber, either,

I think that he was refering to the manufacturers not the resellers, in the 60's the only people who had any knowledge of how to make LSD were the people who wanted to spread LSD based on their ideology, then people found out that they could make it and make a profit the people with the profit over quality mentality. People finding this out took time and over time more and more people like this replaced the manufacturers of the old ideology.

As far as I know LSD that has ben stored well on blotters can hold most of it's potencey for a very long time. AT least several years.

Doc Holliday, what time in History are you talking about?

I picked the 90s, because because I thought you were probably old enough to remember the 90s. If you weren't comparing the 60s to the 90s ... Which decade are you talking about, then?

Then you tell me: "I think you're rather missing the point". OK, well then what is the point that I missed? When you tell me, then I won't be missing your point any longer.

Solidly,

Are you old enough to remember the 60's? Well if you are, and you were in the bay area at that time you would know exactly what I'm reffering to.If you don't understand a post, that's fine, it's not for you.

I lived in the SF Bay Area in the 60s. (and the 50s, 70s, 80s ...)

Another un-clear Post from Doc H: If "you were in the Bay Area at that time [the 60s] you would know exactly what I'm referring to." I was born-and-raised in the Bay Area. How does this fact automatically make me understand your confusing Post?

My question: Did you live in the Bay Area during the 60s? If not, how would you know what I should know?

My former Post was pointing out that Greed has been around for 1000s of years. And, that the Spirit of the 60s still exists in many people. Don't you agree? If not, please explain.

So I ask you again: Then you tell me: "I think you're rather missing the point". OK, well then what is the point that I missed? When you tell me, then I won't be missing your point any longer.

Then, after Posting (in your confusing manner) directly to me, you backhandedlystate: "If you don't understand a post, that's fine, it's not for you." But your Post WAS for me (and to me). Come on, we're all adults here. First you piss on my leg, and then you tell me it's raining. I think you can do better than that.
