Rate drugs on a scale from 1-10

marijuana - 9.5: the only drug swim can enjoy doing every day. a nice relaxing high that helps swim float through anxious moments. it also can really boost many other substances, especially psychedelics. marijuana is the one drug swim likes to always have on hand.

alcohol - 4: an occassionally fun substance, although swim has been known to get hangovers that have him in bed most of the next day. still, on average, swim has at least one beer a day.

nicotine - 2: when first using or after a period of not smoking, these have a pleasant effect. this soon diminishes and the smoking becomes a way of relieving cravings rather than a pleasant experience in itself.

cocaine - 6: enjoyable for a short while. the price of this drug and swim's come downs ruin it for him, as they significantly outweigh the always-too-brief positive effects.

mdma - 7: this used to be swim's weapon of choice, but swim was young and stupid and sort of burned himself out on mdma. having not used it in almost 3 years, perhaps he would rate this higher if he did it again and in better moderation than the past.

dxm - 5: potentially fun, but a bit too hollow feeling for swim's taste, especially at higher doses. lower, less hallucinogenic doses can be a fun sub for alcohol.

shrooms - 7: can be a light fun trip or a mind blowing journey. swim's last experience was a tough one, and he is due to try these again now that his mind and life are at better points.

2c-i - 8: one of swim's favorites. enjoyable visuals, musical enhancement, mild euphoria, and relative clear-headedness in a trip that will generally not be overwhelming on the psyche.

2c-e - 8.5: while not as "fun" as 2c-i, swim finds this substance more rewarding on a larger scale. better visuals and music enhancement than 2c-i with a mild euphoric element, but a bit more psychological alteration to swim. the most enjoyable hallucinogen he has been able to successfully try to date.

swim doesnt feel like going through all the prescription pills. they tend to average between 3 and 5 for the most part, anyway.

Amyl Nitrate: 4/10 Great on MDMA or Coke, thats about it.

Nitrous Oxide: Fun on LSD/Mushrooms, but SWIM doesn't like how stupid it makes him feel after.

2C-B: 7/10 Beautiful colors, excelent euphoria, excelent for partys.

MDMA: Alot of respect is given to this drug by SWIM, but it's starting to loose it's magic.

LSD: 9/10 Amazing, absolutly amazing.

Oil: 9/10 Good to smoke, harsh on the lungs, excelent taste but really messy.

Codeine: 7/10 Swim really enjoyed how this made him feel.

DXM: 5/10 Swim'd rather do K.

Cocaine: 5/10 SWIM really likes it, but SWIM doesn't like how much SWIM like it.

Kratom: 6/10 Dreamy, but tastes funny.

Calea Zacatechichi (Dream Herb): 5/10 Works half the time, and SWIM is a person who never dreams.

Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds: 6/10 Limited experience with this, will probobly increase with experimentation.

Syrian Rue seeds: 7/10 Made SWIM have an excelent mushroom trip on only 1 gram.

MDA: 8/10 Totally fun, would rather experience this then MDMA.

DMT: 5/10 Limited experience aswell, will probobly increase with experience.

Adderall/Ritalin: 8. Hate the constant need/want for it, but SWIM feels so happy when either of these is in his system.

LSA: 5. Enjoyable trip, but the vomiting beforehand isn't quite worth it.

Marijuana: 7. Just the right rank for SWIM to enjoy. Feels good, but the accompanying paranoia and lack of confidence SWIM gets isn't exactly great.

Oxycodone: 10. Snorted, or taken orally results in SWIM's most talkative (ik, wtf?) and most outgoing experiences, once he can fully function (i.e. move). Personal fave.

Hydrocodone: 6. Always a fun time, but the constant use of it makes SWIM feel like crap. Better if done occassionally.

Morphine: 4. Don't know why, but SWIM barely gets a buzz from the 'phine. Maybe a larger dose?

Nicotine: 5. Hate the taste of tobacco products, but the buzz and the whole "feeling like one is cool" effect is quite nice. It's a middle of the roader for SWIM.

Alcohol: 6. Much like nicotine, the taste is horendous for SWIM. But the warm feeling and the outgoing nature it provides is alright for SWIM.

Coke - 6 (You can empty a large bank account into your nose in 1 sitting. Hooray!)

Mushrooms - 8 (Very nice although am still looking for stronger ones)

Speed - 5 (Little rush and no sleep for a few days)

Alcohol - 10 (My old friend. So many different types, so little time)

Nicotine - 1 (I know it's there but I don't need it)

Caffine - 7 (Can't work without it)

Weed - 2 (Puts me to sleep, can't stand the taste but love the culture around it)

Nitros Oxide - 7 (Quick cheap thrill like a fairground ride)

Poppers - 2 (Is there any point? Only thing I would rate them for is to clear the head if you want to get rid of Ketamine 'wooly headed' effect, works a treat)

MDMA - 10 - First thing SWIM ever used. Combined with a rave or a tight group of friends, nothing is like the pure feeling of happiness, closeness and the stripping away of societal pressures. It's just flowing energy and intimacy with no expectations.

DOB - 10 - After getting sold DOB as acid, SWIM quickly learned to love the crazy long trips, unexpected peaks 5 hours into the trip, and overall altered perception that this drug gives SWIY.

Mescaline - 8-10 - SWIM's only use was in combination in MDMA but from the effects that weren't from the mdma SWIM could see that this was a beautiful chemical indeed.

Salvia - 7 - SWIM had a great experience even though a very frightening one, hopefully more pursuit in the future.

Acid - 5 - After taking DOB so many times, acid fell short of expectations. Has it's uses for sure but isn't was SWIM craves.

Marijuana - 5 - A useful tool to completely change the direction of trips, fun in social situations, but Auditory hallucinations are way too strong and real for SWIM and being stoned isn't a state that SWIM prefers.

Cocaine - 2 - Didn't really affect swim other than kept swim up. Never really saw the point when addiction and $$$ factored into it.

Alcohol - 1 - It's depressing that this substance is so legal and mainstream. It's really more of psychological placebo than a drug in itself. Since it's so widely perceived to be relaxing and loosens one up, SWIM believes that people just lose inhibitions through a placebo effect as opposed to the alcohol itself.

SWIM has only smoked pot, drank alcohol, and done coke, so here you go...

Pot: 6. The happy, relaxed state is nice, but it hurts SWIM's lungs.

Alcohol: 7. The calories & stumbling isn't around, but it sure as hell makes for fun at the beer pong table, and a good night's sleep.

Coke: 9. The comedowns are pure hell, but it's a main component of SWIM's life and the highs rock.

Alcohol 5 - SWIM finds it ok, quite expensive and not SWIMS preferred high.

Weed 7- Good fun goofing around with friends, helps with comedowns but overall its not life changing.

Mushrooms 9- SWIM really liked these, had his most euphoric moment of his life on them, while listening to his favourite song.

LSD 8- First time i tried it was a bit too weird, but all other experiences have been lovely.

Nitrous 7- Good feeling, very dissociating, rather morish...

MDMA 9 (first time 10)- fantastic feeling, had some of his best times on it. SWIM would reccommend doing it with friends and not neccessarily a club. After feelings are annoying though.

Salvia 3- Somewhat trippy, yet short and unenjoyable. Expensive for what it is.

Ketamine 8- SWIM liked Ketamine, he found it mellow and interesting and cheap.

Ganja- 6/10, was 10/10 a year ago but lately SWIM has been having panic attacks that can make SWIM have seizure like movements, crying uncontrollably, and throw up. Kind of makes the experience a little crappy huh?
crazy shrooms- 8/10 Love feling like SWIM am melting, but hate having people threaten to blast SWIM in the face with a shotgun if I dont get off of his property, then ending up in a corner in his closet LOL!
cocaine-1/10 Only had it laced in a bowl of pot, and ended up spending half the night punching SWIM in the face because SWIM couldnt feel SWIM's face. SWIM's niece was sure confused what Uncle SWIM was doing.
ADDIES-10/10 WOOT WOOT I love them! But 1/10 for the effects it has on SWIM. Lost SWIMS girlfriend binging on these.
~*~ for anybody reading past here, SWIM rates opiates based on pain killing AND fun. SWIM broke SWIMS neck, and these were GREAT for both killing pain and helping SWIM throught the boredom.

Oxycodone-7/10 great for pain, but while laying in hospital bed seen a mouth apear out of the ceiling and come towards SWIM. Also seen a bloody arm crawling around ceiling. Kind of killed the high a little.

Clozapam- 6/10 Call it high stepping, feel like a giant trying to walk around and not step on things.

SWIM hasn't had much experience..

Marijuana (2) - SWIM hates feeling dumb. Maybe SWIM got a lot of bad stuff? They hate coughing..
Alcohol (5) - SWIM likes it because its easy to get and no hassle.
Speed (4) - On one occasion, SWIM got a huge euphoric state..but it was a combination of weed. SWIM hates to feel so paranoid and dirty...SWIM likes his teeth..
Ecstasy (10) - SWIM loves this, and has absolutely fallen in love with it. Although SWIM is bothered by the come down, its not so bad...they LOVE to sleep it off.
Cigarettes (1) - SWIM only uses it with combination's.

Cannabis: 7/10 - SWIM has never had a negative experience with good old mary, although sometimes she can get a bit dull if SWIM doesn't take a breather now and then

Nicotine: 5/10 - SWIM loves and hates nicotine at the same time, that first cigarette of the day taste soooo good. Also great in combination with pretty much every other drug

Alcohol: 3/10 - SWIM sometimes enjoys his drink but for every good night out there's at least half as many trainwrecks/disasters. Abstention has done SWIM well (no more waking up next to strangers the next morning with a splitting headache and that familiar little voice - "oh god... what did I do last night..." )

Salvia: 2/10 - amusing to watch other people do, not that amazing in SWIM's personal experience, certainly SWIM didn't find anything particularly insightful or enjoyable from his trips

MDMA: 8/10 - lovely. Would be 10 if it wasn't for the comedown and the purity (or lack thereof) of pills

Mephedrone: 8.5/10 - SWIMs (current) favourite drug. SWIM says it feels a lot like MDMA but with this all-encapsulating warmth. No come down too

Mushrooms: 7.5/10 - Incomparable. It blew SWIMs mind in more ways than imaginable. By no means a 'spontanious' drug - SWIM must be in the right mindset and setting to open his mind to the sheer craziness of the universe.

I dont think Baj meant it to be statistically relevant. It would simply be a way to see how d-f members preferences stack up, at a glance. This whole thread is technically statistically irrelevant because its not a random sample of people responding to it, its a self-selected group who (unfortunately) do not represent the population as a whole. Maybe a table could be compiled with substances as the rows, and the ratings as the columns, so that the number of people who voted numbers "x" and "y" for "drug z" could be easily seen without scrolling through all these pages. from the table, mean values for each substance could be computed and shown as a figure or graph. it might not be statistically sound, but it would certainly be a cool thing to see what people are into, here!

If it were a random sample of drug users, I think crack, heroin, and meth would all be 10s while psychedelics would all be 1s. I've met avid drug users (ie addicts) who hate psychedelics.
