concerns about nausea with mescaline cactus powder
I have been given the opportunity to purchase someform of cactuspowder (I think it may be Peruvian)from my local "Zen" shop, but I am a bit worried about the nausea/body load.I've done mushrooms on quite a few occasions and not felt too much nausea, but with HBW seeds I was in crippling pain for the entire experience (I crushed uo 11g and put it into a pint of water for over 24 hours - might hasve done it wrong I guess). I ama bit concerned that the nausea will make for an unpleasant experience. How many people experience nausea with powdered cactus', how severe is it (ie do you always nearly end up being sick or is it just a bad feeling in your stomach), how long does it take to subside, is there any way of controling it or gettingrid of it(I don'treallyhave access to any kinds of medication)and ultimately is it worth it? Thanks for your time |

please, I really want to have a nice trip without the nausea. I hate feeling sick. If there is any way whatsoever I can reduce the nausea or the likelihood of feeling sick with this stuffI would be very grateful if someone could help me out. The HBW seed experience has left me dreading the thought of spending six hoursfeeling sick with intense stomach cramp andshort of breath. It's going to be my first mesc. trip (will probably be this friday) and I really want it to be a good one! Thanks

I donīt think the nausea can be avoided. Mescaline triggers something
in the brain that induces nausea. Some people believe that nausea is a form of payment for the better feeling afterwards. This way things keep in balance. For taking something (a good feeling) one has to give something first (a bad feeling). Cacti are not some kind of candy. If nausea bothers you, you are better off with mushrooms. If you want the information a cactustrip gives you, you have to learn to live with itīs side effects. |

SWIM has had experience with both Peyote and Peruvian Torch (once each). He has never had anything more than slight nausea during the onset. Don't know if this is limited to SWIM only though. SWIM did, however, have the worst cottenmouth of his life. Good luck.

There are also steps you can take to try to prevent nausea. Some
people have told me that kava kava helps prevent nausea, however I've never tried that. Lecithin the day before and the same day of the trip will definitly help cut down on nausea... however, it depends on the person alot of the time. Lecithin might work for me, and not you. |
