Has anyone else witnessed that animals can sense when someone is tripping? It is very noticable whenever anyone in my house has taken a psychedelic as my dog will act peculiar. She will be unbelievably energetic and hyper, and seem a little intoxicated herself. Once I thought maybe she got into someones stash but she just sensed the psychedelic energy.

Has anyone else noticed odd behavior from their pets while doing hallucinogens?

Dogs, and many other animals for that matter seem to be quite able to sense changes in ppls mood so maybe they see hem as being much happier so then they get happer?

My friend used to always hotbox the room when his dog was in and then after a while without the weed it seemed to be depressed/

yea i think animals can sense when people are tripping. they tend to be
nicer to you cuz they realize your on one and your not about to try and
hunt them or anything. like not just dogs squirrels and shit wont run
away when you come near its great.

never really noticed that unfortunately. my cat was too poorly the only time i tripped enough at home when hewas still herefor there have been any chance for it to affect him. though he did come and snuggle up to me afterwards when i was lying on the settee, as if he knew i needed some company...

When i have been smoking weed my dog looks at me funny. But when ive had some mushies he wont really come near me. As soon as i walk through the door he can sence im in an altered state and gives me the most uncomfortable look.

One of SWIM's friends once put a hit of LSD on the top of a cat's head. The cat FLIPPED out after about 15 minutes. It ran up a tree where it promptly died from starvation.


More on subject, SWIM thinks that animals can sense when someone is and is not tripping. If SWIM does any drugs (MDMA, LSD, Shrooms, RC's) he is very careful about touching his dog too much. SWIM's dog is always the first one to burst the bubble!

Dogs hate weed. When I smoke or even own weed, I have noticed that most of the dogs are barking me. It's strange. But probably that's why they use dogs for finding it in people.

My dog can always sense when i'm trippin' he'll just come up and look at me all strangely with his head, tilted then start whining and sometimes barking its really annoying and unsetteling. Screw him anyway i've got chipmunks to play with, they don't seem to act any different while i'm trippin'. They did however manage to get out of the cage one time tho just as I had come up, it was no easy task catching them again due to the fact that is seemed as tho there were about 30 running round my garage, there were only 6. One got away and one died, something I wasn't really prepared for on mushrooms.

I have a cat and it can always see when i'm high. For example, when i take extasy he - Felix - comes, looks at me for several minutes and then he sits near me till the effect is over. I really can't get rid of Felix when i take extasy. If i go in another romm, Felix comes after me and looks at me like he's bagging me to let him stand by me, like i can transmit him what i feel and he likes it.


It also happened to take magic mushrooms around him. Here's what Felix does: looks at me all the time, like he's analysing me, when i was tripping hard i could awear that he was comunicating with me.

SWIM, on their first trip, found their friend's cat. The cat began curling
around his legs, rather than running away as it usually did. SWIM then
picked the cat up, and rubbed faces with it. SWIM said the cat definitely
knew and loved having the cat with him.

Oddly enough, the cat now *continues* to do this to SWIM.

Thats funny BoredINbuffalo Swims cat is a bit different. She is a very calm and loving cat but when swim drops 20mgs of 4-ho-mipt the cat will freak out a bit, look scared and run around the house. A few times Swim could have sworn she must of got into his stash!

Do you think petting it actually can absorb any chemical? Swim was petting it alot. I always thought this was a myth.

Swim has quit using 4-ho-mipt he thinks it is bad on his cat.

I got my old dog stoned just once, she chased her tail for a minute and then jumped off my bed head first into the floor. Poor little thing didnt know what was going on and got carpet burn across her jaw. She would never turn down a drink tho, if you ever left your glass on the ground she'd tip it over and drink the lot.

SWIM has blown smoke in the face of his cat. The cat appears to enjoy it,
and comes back for more. It does this weird thing where it twitches it head
once it comes along.

However, SWIM notes that his experience with the cat was only under
psylocibes, and does not remember the cat's reaction while he was under
the influence of DXM, although he doesn't remember much at all from being
under the influence of DXM, something he regrets.

My dog seems to come in, figure out what's going on and give me a concerned look, then walk off and not bother me for the rest of the night.

My cats' hair puffs up and their eyes dialate when I am shroomin. they love me when I'm shroomin but have like a force field around me and can't come too close. They just like to observe from a distance. I must just be that entertaining. Sometimes I think they share in halucinations as well, I saw a flash of light and my cats also reacted to it, like they also saw the flash of light and then they ran away because it weirded them out. Babies and small children act similarly.

i guess its like how they can sense fear and anger. I know my
dogs know when im mad at them, they stay the hell away from me
(especially if it is because of them running off and making my chase
them or something). I went outside one night when i was rolling
on 130mg by myself for a more introspective and thinking roll, to pet
my golden retrievers, they seemed to know something was up and just let
me pet them and snuggled up beside me and played ball for a while, but
i could tell they knew. Did the same thing on a candy flip with
200 mics/100mg one time and had the same results. I really love
being with my dogs while on psychadelics, no matter what they keep me
in a good mood and i cant help but smile. Ehh what can i say, im
a dog lover.

why doesnt some one take some trips and film it and see how they react on film ? animals that is maby try communicating with them with out speekig see if anything works i think the answers are in filming our trips and seeing what acctuly happens unfortunaltly i blew all my money on coke i cant afford a camera

I'm also convinced that animals can sense when you are tripping. On
shrooms my friend's kitten was REAL chill and just acting abnormal. it
stayed with us pretty much the entire trip which is weird because this
thing normally rockets around everywhere. on HBWR my friends dog just
would not leave me alone.

an odd incidence swia dont smoke tobacco with swias j's or at all for that
matter, how ever when ever the cat is in the room with us settled
she'll stay for the gange but smoke tobacco she'll leave it is odd. the
other thing swia noticed when swia was on mushrooms swia was up the stairs
when the cat spotted me and ran up to me keeping me company she
would not leave my side. in the end we snuggled it was quite
calming having her around . On walks on drinking cactus juice
(which contains mescaline) swia walked past some horses. now the first
person walked past sober they didn't notice him swia walked past
quietly and they lifted there heads and got closer to the fence, they
were staring at me as if they new swia was altered. on high dose trips
the cat talk to me in from her head as if swia was telapathic. although
this could be due to your ego splitting
