Poppy Tea?

I saw a way to make poppy tea by buying seeds (used for cooking) and soaking and shaking for like 30 min then drinking it. Will this work?

poppy tea is a waste, unless u r just bored and have money to waste on
it .. the seed thing wont work, u need to buy the dry poppy heads XXXXXX (NO SOURCES!)

Why is poppy tea a waste? I heard of people using it and they say it comes just behind heroin strengthwise, some even prefer it to H because of the special kick that the mix of several alkaloids provides.


When maybe 3 times the volume of finely grinded poppy straw water are used, a teaspoon citric concentrate or some crystals of citric acid are added and that is heated until almost simmering and then the heat is turned down until it is drinkable and one filters it then through some kitchen paper, it shall provide a great bang. The grounds can be used a second time with half as much water, this shall safe money.


I never tried it though. I only heard about it.

have u ever tryed to drink it? i have, i puked..yes i got high but the
tea is so unpleasant taste that its virtually impossible to drink it
for some people / for me its EwwWWWwwwWWWyyyy rather take some
tramadols and drink it down with some weed milk

Making tea from dried poppy-pods is great! I have just discovered this wonderful world. But make sure it is papaver somniferum-pods

The seeds do work, but I have no to very low opiate tolerance.



Here is the deal:

Try to find seeds in bulk or in a tin, the ones in the bottle are more
washed to make them look pretty. Now put them in a water tight
container along with some ice cold water just to cover. Shake and allow
to soak for up to 30 minutes, now pour out and drink, it should have a
slightly bitter taste(the more bitter the better). Repeat this process
on the seeds until the water stops getting cloudy/dirty looking and no
longer tastes bitter. You can now use the seeds to plant poppies in
vacant lots or fields, or your backyard if you have one.



This should get you a pleasant little buzz, just almost a threshold
feeling. It doesn't feel even as strong as a hydrocodoneo, but no
complaints as it costs $2.50!

Poppy seeds tea definately works, as there are small amounts of morphine, codeine and thebaine in each one. Buying in bulk offers the best values, but like any opiates, it can cause a powerful addiction. Use in moderation if you know whats good for ya. The tea tastes like shit, but it probably could be boiled down to a resin, and put in a pill. Smoking like opium may also be possible, who knows...

Poppy does taste nasty. It is best made from the pods and not the seeds. I would recomend you get some poopy seeds from a good potent strain, grow them, and then collect the opium and smoke it. Much better in my opinion.

OK, SWIM tried poppy seed tea from store bought seeds, Mckormick brand. Got a buzz for maybe 30 min, and VERY mild, thats it. For the virgin user, this prob would give a very nice buzz, but as the store bought seeds are all washed, their is very little M on them. Realize this, the seeds have ZERO M in them, they only contain a trace amount as most seed scome from plants that have ben harvested for the M paste, and its that paste that get into the seed pod after the plant is scored with a knife for havesting. So the spice companies all wash the seed to prevent abuse, but a micro amount will seep into the shell. Better to get seeds that came from a shop, or a place that never processed them for OTC sale. Then it would work much better, otherwise get the pods, totally legal to buy and posses.

How do you prepare the pods?

SWIM used four containers full, enough to fill a 20 oz Gatorade bottle half full. At $5 a pop for the bottle, not worth tring more.





For using pods, see other posts, but basically, treat the pods like whole coffe beans, and make coffee, remembering that the french press method is best, and percolating is worst for caffine retention.

i've done poppy seeds probably more than 50 or 60 times, and i have always used store bought. those are all i can find other than the online heads, but never have done that due to the mass internet rip-offs,. i buy the food lion brand (its a major grocery chain in the south u.s., i live in n.c.,) and those get me so wrecked. the come in 1 dollar bottles of 100 grams, i used to get 4 do the extraction and in an hour be tore slam up, but lately i have to use more and more and i dont quite get so tore up, dont know if they are washing them more, different kind or what but if anyone could help me out by tellin how to intensify my buzz that' bee kewlz. i do have a tolerance for opiates also so i know for a fact that SOME store bought kinds FOR A FACT WORK! so abra kadabra kiddies .Enjoi
