Reincarnation. Not just the simple concept of living as a
different creature after we die, but more. I was rereading
Siddhartha a few weeks ago, and suddenly remembered a bit of it today,
was thinking about it:

"The world, friend Govinda, is not imperfect or on a slow journey
toward perfection; no, it is perfect at every moment; all sin already
bears its forgiveness within itself; every little boy already bears the
old man within himself, every infant bears death, every dying man bears
eternal life. No one is able to look at someone else and know how
far along on his journey he is..."

Life is eternal, not in the fact that it is a loop, but infinite in
this exact moment. Right now, everything that will ever happen
will, has, and is. Everything that will exist will, has, and
is. Right now. Therefor, there is no true concept of the
future or the past, only of now. The universe will not die, it is
dying AND being born right now.

Just because I may be a cat in the next life, does not mean that my
spirit is standing in some waiting line, currently being my body, and
then when it dies, will THEN inhabit a cat. I am actually a cat
right now as well.

There is no concept of a time frame. All is eternal. Nothing is eternal.

Life: We are all ONE person.

The way I view the World is: One day, God got bored (what to do?). Hey, I could make the Universe. He thought it (or dreamed it). Let there be Light. The World was made (created, dreamed-up) . . .BAM!

Therefore, God includes everything in this World. He made it. The Universe is a part of him.

Since everything is God, I am (part of) God too, (I am also a part of every person, and everything there is). Every otherperson is also God (or, more accurately, a piece of God).

So, while I do not actually buy into reincarnation as I have read it, I have been reincarnating since Adam and Eve. I used to be an Ant, I am a rock, tomorrow I can be the Mailman.

If you're interested, I could go on, but my perspective alsoleaves plenty of room for Astral Projection (I can be here, and on Jupiter), Telepathy (I can think here, and you can hear it), and all of the other Spiritual goodies. Different people receive different gifts (or else Life would be pretty boring). All things are possible.

Well said - I've heard that theory a few times before, it makes a lot of sense - thats why we experience love and compassion for each other - because we ARE each other.

The only hole in the theory is that 'god was bored' -there has got to be a much more complicated reason for scattering the universe into a billion trillion pieces..

.. I think it happened more like this.. iN the beginning there was this seething mass of inteligence, so un-content with itselfknowing everything, that it decided to examine itself from a few more angles - so 'BANG'!! with intense heat and power, it scatters itself into the far corners of the solar system.

..and so life and evolution began...

..this theory for me explains why every human on the planet has a desire to learn and to talk and to connect with others. They are simply trying to experience themselves (the original intellegence) in as many ways as possible.

But becausewe are only one very small fragment of the 'original inteligence',we find it easy to feel lost, or stuck here without explanation. This is the reason (in my opinion) why we create fictional gods and religions to give a pseudo-reason to our existence.

read vonnegut's slaughterhouse 5. he talks about one moment
being infinite. one of the premises of the book is taht in death,
a soul is just worse off than it was at any other time.
i agree with this. there doesnt need to be heaven or hell to get
people to live good lives, just the theory of eternal recurrance.

. . . so it goes . . .

the first two posts on this forum were spot on, you share many of the same views as me.

i my self am aware were are all one we are energy and god is energy and also belcve that life is either somthing to do or away god could better "himself" as there is no other competition there isnt need to evolve he is his own compitition another option is that life and exicstance is just a therory, only really happening to prove the possibilitie to be true i mean a formular wouldnt be true unless it has acctuly happend

every thing that is possible has to have happed or be happening

regardless i belcauve we are all either one persons dream or a creature together like all our cells make us all us people makes human and we are alldoing different things to learn more but when do we regroup, what are we ment to do here

unfortunatly we have created a sociaty through a principal so strong ( going back to the pirimids and when i beleave thealuminati started) we have created a sociity heading down the drain we dont share any more and we are being forced aparte im not sure if its people like us or more like it was acctuly us, the proper players of this game made a concept on the basis that we will use it to evolve ( like money helping medicen) on the basis that when we have evolved enough for Us to stop it again but now we are to greedy using out knolage instead of for the better of man and using it to make out self money

unfortunatly this is why we are polutin our earth to hell to the point were nucler is our only option, wich is a radioactive wast of 25000 years

its time for a revolution ( unless our machine is too strong for us like maby one day our computers we created will remove us....wich leads to another question how much more alive is a human compaired to a computer is emotion our most inportant charactoristic or just a survival method

i can go on this just touches a few therories but one therory is that you have some people on this earth u must meet some people are closer to eachother than this planet lets on

we are one god is all we are god

is this all a dream?

if your interestes please continue this forum because i think we are on to somthing i also thing that the posts on telecomunication on the other forum are touching somthing good, i have had some very nuts experiences but uncertain if its just tripping or truth to it, can we not find out for sure

with all these therories on life is there anything we can do wilst were still in this life to prove it, can we use our knolage to help us ( besides lieing to your self like u woulddo with a definate religion)

ps i really like this website because most people around me dont talk like this im glad i can find other like minded people

Good points. I dont really believe that God just got bored one day, becuase I dont view God as a person. I view God more as everything and anything, a massive form of energy which eases whe flow of the universe. I just cant see God as a person, like us, with the ability to think and make decisions. I view God more like a computer. Computers are made up of several componets. These componets work together to form the working piece of machinery that gets maky tasks done. We are the componets that make up "god" God is nothing without us, and we are nothing without God. I know thats a wierd comparison but maybe some of you understand what I am trying to communicate. I dont think there was a beginning, I think this has been going on forever and will continue to go on forever, with or without us here. As long as God is alive and active, the universe will always exist. I definitely there there are other forms of intellegence besides humans but who knows. Maybe in billions of years we wil be gone and something else here to take out place. Basically organisms adapt to their surroundings, we just happened to adapt this way to thrive in our enviroment. Different enviroments would provide organisms with different characteristics, necessary for their survival in that particular enviroment. Reincarnation is a very interesting way of pondering what happens to us when we die. Its feasible that out minds have the capability to remember past lives of different forms, but if this information was avalible at all times we would not be able to function. Likewise for a cat or any other animal. If they could think about their past lives, they would have no time to hunt etc. The world works so perfectly. If you think about it there are so many miniscule factors keeping us alive today. I believe in a greater form that has a minimal amount of control over these kinds of things. This power somehow generated us and gave us what we need to love and survive and thats it. This power also gave us the ability to hate and kill each other off. Is this all just one big coincidence???? Thats the kind of shit I have to think about every day. It all seems to perfect to be a big coincidence that I am right here right now, but I like every other human being am unable to answer this question. I think this knowledge lies somewhere in everyone, but again, if we actually had access to the knowledge of the beginning then we would be way too distracted to do anything productive. All i know is that there are forces in this universe that I can not begin to comprehend. I love thinking about this stuff, but when I get down and confused, I just think to myself, that thing will probably be made a lot more clear after death. For some reason I think death is going to be like a DMT trip (I hope atleast). Our soul will be freed from our body and we will travel through space and time until we take another form of life. We will travel as an energy, through a different realm, able to comprehened anything and everything at once. Then, to balance things out, we will take another life form, and forget the past lives we have been in so we will be able to concentrate on the current life we are living. I just try to be a good person and thats all i really think that matters. My friend is craving DMT thouogh it makes him think about this stuff so much and he loves it.

I agree with this, there does seem to be some knowledge of the 'reason for existence' locked away deep in our brains, when you take psychedelics it seems you connect and understand this information a little better. The only problem is putting it into comprehendable words when you return.

That's it though isn't it? It's always there, it is always true and right and good. But for me, MY personal comprehension is all that it's about.

A search for knowledge and wonder, and SELF. I don't need to communicate this (I'm no prophet), the people who know are already there with me. I hope (not pray) that others will achieve this, I will work (in the background) to realise this for everyone (if they want it!)

Vonnegets slaugter house five is an excelent follow up read it thats
your theory. Its about a race of beings that can see all time as
it is and as it always has been. And we're just so hung up about
it because he cant figure out whats going to happen next. For
them there is no big secret they can see how everything ends and they
can see how everything begins.

what do u guys think is really happening?

i in my time have come up with thousands of plausible therories but i can change my reality at all so does this lead to somthing?

lets look at a fomular one that is learnt we can continue doing the sum is tere a formular to life so that we can bend our relms of reality?

my main exampe of what im asking is that i beleave in cominincating through our minds but i can use it...does every one need to be on the same wave length

the only thing i can think of is as a speciciese once we dopnt lie and have nothing to hid we as a specises will elvove into being able to share our thoughs (and still keep our induvidualality)

? do we agree?

I've experianced some weird telekinetic type evens under the influence
of 5Meo-DiPT and so have others who I have known and met who have used
this drug. Our brains definately have the potential to share our
thoughs but as far as evolving into that I dont think that humans are
making much evolutionary progress these days. Our enviornmental
stressors tend to be more related to strenght and wealth so despite the
fact that we could evolve in such a manner we probobly wont.
Example the intelegence levels staying about the same over all but the
average height going up

Hmmm... How am I gonna word this?

Well I think there is a God, who put us here and is responsible for human life. When we die, our 'spirit' moves on to a different body and it all begins again.

This is what I normally think, but there isn't no full proof about this and it just makes me think, after all the time people have spent looking for 'God' or our 'spirit' nobody has actually proven that either exist... Sure, I've hadunexplainable things happen to me but there's always the little doubt in my mind that tries to think simple: There isn't no God because i've never seen him ect...

But yeah, overall I do think there is much more to life/death than we already know...

Interesting theory, but tell me - who created this god? where did he/she come from?

Also how do you visualise this creator? a beardy man sat in a cloud? when you think of it how does it appear to you?

sorry for the questions, just interested in getting points of view on this subject

"Who created this god?" - In my opinion, he's either been here forever, and will remain here until everybody on earth dies... Then he might create another place, with a different species(Aliens?). Either that OR the "God/Gods" which people believe to be the highest power, have a "God" of their own which is the higher power of them and maybe, there's a God for our God's God? < That COULD explain where he came from?

I've thought about God's appearence quite a lot, but I don't even know what I think on this... I don't think he would look like a human(or animal), IMO he has an appearence of his own.

Also, I said in my last post that our spirit continues onto another body, when everything on earth dies, maybe our spirits would be the one's tolivein the bodys of thenext 'thing' God creates.

Hope that helps Edited by: thegod1

Maybe we are gods? Maybe when scientists create crazy things in labs - like new chemicals, or mess around with fusion etc. we are actually creating new universes - so small that we don't even know that we have created them.

It sounds a bit far-fetched but I just remembered the theory about going deep into an atom and finding a universe etc. etc. and thought, well maybe we are creating amazing things all the time without even knowing! perhaps everthing that we have discovered so far in the known universe is simply a crazy lab experiment created by incredibly large forms of life just randomly arsing around with a few chemicals

Yeah, I really agree with you there. I think you do have a really intresting point and definatly think it is very possible. Not so much with the part that we're lab experiments, I think there is a more deeper, darker, mysteriousside to us than that, but nothings impossible I suppose.

You know what really pisses me off though, the government are something stupidlike 20 years ahead of technology than us 'normal' people... Its mainly with UFO's an all that but im sure it's with other things to... Off topic a bit, but maybe they know more about this than we do?

It's kinda sad to know that the only timewere gonna find out the truthabout this, is when we die.

i do not believe in reincarnation. i believe after death your body rots
in the ground and the atoms it was composed of disperse to other places
eventually to become dirt or a part of a plant or a worm or something.
what i do believe though, is that human beings have a mass conciousness
that allows people to live on after death. what are we after all? we
are a conciousness, a living being with a personality, and even after
death there are those who have us in their memories. if a memory of you
exists, then you still exist to some degree. what is reality? it is the
way that people collectively percieve the world. so even after my
death, while anybody has a memory of me then i still exist in the human
mass conciousness, and in what we accept as reality.

I don't really think that just because someone thinks of you, it makes you exist. You ain't in control of yourself, and from your opinion, ain't anything other than a memory. I believe reality is living and what goes on around us but if your just a "dead rotton atom"I don't really think that's anything!

it is my belief that reincarnation and karmaare just religious ideas to help control the masses. Be a good little shop keeper, pay your taxes and dont cause your society any problems and then when you come back in the next life you will be a warrior or even a priest!

On the plus side it is a far better form of control than the more basic heaven and hell of the christians.

Not so sure about that, there is deffinately something in the Karma thing, Ive noticed more and more recently that whenever I do anything that i know to be 'wrong' (something against the grain of my own moral values) - some bad shit turns up and bites me on the arse!!

It might be a big coincidence I suppose, but then again, everything is connected (buterfly effect etc) so who's to say that everything we think/do/say isn't connected directly to the rest of life?

hi,

karma is not about doing bad things and then suffering for it later otherwise known as what comes around goes around but is a debt passed on from one life to the next. According to karma if bad things are happening to you now its because you did bad things in a previous life not this one. Also if you did good things the opposite will happen.

a far more interesting idea is the heathen concept of wyrd. This is similar except heathens dont believe in reincarnation so the debt is not passed on to your next life but to your children and other decendents. There is some interesting research going on now into ghost genes which seems to back up the concept of wyrd.
