When I was a teenager I wasn't a regular drug user, but had taken maybe one or two ecstacy pills, speed twice, and alittle pot before.

I went out one night and took 2/3 Ecstacy pills, a little amphetamine, and had a single alcoholic drink. I didn't dance at all that night, just sat and talked.

When we were leaving the club, my boyfriend noticed my face looked blue, and as I went out into the fresh air I got a little colour back.

We slept maybe an hour (partially asleep), and when I woke up all the veins on my legs, right theway up,had gone black/blue. I went to the hospital, and they kept me in, and my legs were smothered in bruises. The high-and-mightyconsultant came roundand said I must have fallen when I was drunk and that's why my legs were bruised - I wasn't drunk and didn't fall at all!

Anyone know what happened to me that night, and if it was dangerous? I've always wanted to know.

(I'm almost 10 years older now, a nurse, and a Mum, so I won't be doing it again!)

Im not sure, but those drugs really alter your blood pressure. Maybe your veins got an overload of blood, and some of them bursted causing bruises.

I experienced the same phenomenon when i was using speed. It is
because it alters your blood pressure, but also because it causes damage
to your nerve endings. Your sensitivity to pain is also decreased, so you
probably won't notice a bump as easily because the nerve endings are not
signaling that there was a painful incident. I got hideous bruising to the
point where my friends thought i had internal bleeding... I stopped doing
speed (duh), but also have made some changes in my diet too. I was
vegetarian for 6 years, and now i realize i am anemic (affects blood
pressure and bleeding), and that i have low cholesterol. But generally
speaking, your blood pressure goes up with speed, and then it crashes on
the come down ... your body during these states of fluctuation does not
have the resources to boost your body's defenses (i.e. your immune
system becomes more suppressed... tendency to get sick more easily,
etc.) and additionally you should check into your blood clotting abilities
(platlets are not going to the site of bleeding quickly enough so thus the
bad bruising), i.e. if the bruising happens at other times you should check
into your diet, etc.

hope this helps!

Sounds like you where having some circulatory problems. Unfortunatly many people have a very casual additude about mixing drugs. You should always be very careful if you are going to mix drugs and found out in advance, if possible, that the combination is safe.

Mixing 3 drugs is particularly risky.
