Colors?

i used to get this weed that had like colored strains in it (almost looked like very thin thread)...the best stuff was the ones with the orange in it but there were ones with red, purple, etc., anyone know what i'm talking about? what are they?

The "threads" that you are talking about are a sign of very good quality. It is why "orange" bud is called that and "Purple Haze" has thr purpulish haze.

The color doesn't define THC content... You can have pitch black bud... And someone give it the name "ultra mega super skunk skunky"... And claim it's the greatest thing since sliced bread... When in fact it's horrible... Colored hairs (or buds) are just what identify the strain of cannabis you are smoking... Hairs them self usually contain more THC then other parts of the bud... So yes this is in fact a sign of good quality... But the color of the hairs... Doesn't mean to much... More of a strain identifyer...Cheers Edited by: AcmeSewageCo

I bought some medical bud the other day and its super hairy and the hairs are VERY orange. I must admit that this bud is very killer as well, can get totaly baked off a short j.(bout 6 drags) Edited by: amped

Hairy Pot is Fun, and kicks Ass.


There are several Hot Strains out there with a lot of hair on their heads. The last time I was at my Cannabis Buyers Club, they had 5 Strains full of hair. One was an Organic Purple (the leaves were light lavender, and the hairs were dark Purple). One was Orange (green, with Orange hairs).


Hairy Pot is potent. Just like AcmeSewage acurately pointed out: "Hairs them self usually contain more THC then other parts of the bud ... So yes, this is in fact a sign of good quality." I heard that the hairs contain up to 50% THC. Whatever their exact amount in any particular Strain, I have been happy with every Hairy Strain I have tried. I hope those cross-Breeders keep hitting on new, and improved, Strains. They get to name it ... we get to smoke it. Everyone wins.
