Should I try salvia divinorum?

Hi, I havent been to this forum in a while, but used to come on here all the time and have found it to be very informative as far as drug experiences and advise goes.I just heard about Salvia a few weeks ago (on the news believe it or not), which has spiked my interest into trying it. You got to love the media I tell ya. I bought some last weekend from a hemp store and had a friend try it first (i know Im a chicken) but I wanted to see how he reacted. After him telling me his experience I chickend out as he said it was way more fckd up then he thought it would be. Now, the only reason I am afraid is because I had a terrible, terrible trip on shrooms last year which has turned me away from psychedelic drugs (excuse my bad spelling). One of the main reasons I had such a bad trip was the feeling of confusion, not knowing where/who I was, extreme tripping, which all sounds similiar to what salvia can do. So I guess my question is "would this trip be different or better than my last shroom trip, or is salvia way different than Mushrooms? Any suggestions or advise would be great. Im glad to be back on this forum, as I find the stories to be extremeley fascinating.
