Morphine Sulfate Tablets To Heroin??

Would it be possible for a chemist to easily produce quality heroin
from roughly 100 30mg Chalk based, Instant Release morphine sulfate tablets? The chemist would have
access to Acetic Anhydride. Theoritcally is this possible?

I believe that it may be possible by extracting the crude morphine base with ammonia hydroxide but i would do more research if i were you

what process could someone do to extract the morphine from the tablets and ??react it with AA??

You could purify it a bit with a simple cold water extraction. Or you could recrysatllize it.


Then just acetylate it. But Im sure you could as well just crush the pills and acetylate them as long as u dont want to inject it

yes yes and yes, like swim said its done all the fucking time in NZ, its the closest thing to heroin, as the customs are too tight these days,

Refresh my orgo chem please. For turning M Sulfate into a hydrochloride, is it a simple addition of weak muriatic acid (28% HCl)? If so, is the acid added to the dried, power/crystalline base, or is it added into the M Sulfate soln. just after the M has been extracted from the pill's fillersand binders? Please run thru the few steps here I am missing. Thanks.
