need help with my best friend

hey guys, didnt know where to put this but here looks good.
Anywho heres the scoop. My best friend who i have been through
tons of shit with just went completley daffy. His mother came to
my house at 10 in the morning and told me that (well use T as his name)
T is losing it, he is hallucinating and seeing people and acting like a
truely loony person.

SHe was all over by ass like a fat kid on a cupcake saying that he said
he was on PCP and that he got it from me. Heres the thing though,
i have never seen, done, wanted to do PCP and its not even available in
my town. I believe he is having a nervous breakdown and all
summer he has been getting minimal sleep, he believes he can still go
to bed at 4 a.m. but his parents are crazy so they wake him up at 7 or
8 and make him excersize up to 5 mile runs. He didnt sleep at all
last night, hes been stressed about finishing his camero hes working on
so he worked on it all night on adderall. I believe he is
addicted to adderall and i cant even feel responsible, i mean i give
him one on rare occasion, but when i dont he is known to break into my
house and steal a bunch of them (they are RX to me and i need them for
study and what not). What should i do? He hasnt slept
ina while and i cant go over there to talk to him because his
parents called a drug counciler(sp) and he is over there now.
Need some help, he is my best friend and i hate to lose him to stress
and addiction. Is there anything i can say to his parents to give
them the hint to lay off him for a while, do you think this is related
to stress? Thanks for any help

Did you tell them about the lack of sleep thing because that will fuck you up this all seems very feesable what you are saying) so why not present it to them in a calm and collected, research on paper helps and go over while the councilor is there unless its to late and hes left. It may be tough but sometimes you gotta do what needs done.
I would advise going there and yelling and screaming at how his parents have unrealistic goals and are so stupid that they make accusations to remove the blame from themselves.

i called his dad and told him i really felt t is sleep deprived and
that it could explain it. I am going to wait a while to go over
to let everyone cools down. I just feel mad cuz i am acused to
selling pcp to him and giving him my meds, i like to have a good
relationship with them cuz his dad is a pretty chill guy, but its just
not gonna work if they hate my guts cuz my friends drug filled haze
ended up with him thinking he did pcp from me. I want to wait for
him to sober up, i have a feeling he took an ungodly amount of ambein
trying to get himself down from adderall and now on top of that hes
sleep deprived and overstressed. I agree with you man, his
parents are really controlling, he was cought smoking a year ago and
still gets tested weekly. They know he smokes cigs so they make
him run early in the morning, they are forcing him into a sport he
doesnt want to attend, i would snap under those conditions too.

Yeah I'd say that you'd just have to let the situation cool off and then let the truth come out when your friend comes out of it. I hope that he is going into counselling or something not a drug councillor but hopefully a psychiatrist or something along those lines because that sounds like it could be many things; very severe bipolar disorder , schizophrenia or a million other possiblities. I hope his parents go to one as well. Their system seems not to be working very well.

I agree with Mr jim this is a family councilor sit. more than a drug councilor.
And tested weekly are his parents ava braun and adolf hitler gawd! thats pretty extreme.
just out of curiosity what did his dad say when you told him what you said?

he acted ok with it and didnt sound pissed, sounds like he took it in
as a possiblity. Heres the update as of now. His
girlfriend came over just a bit ago and said, "we need to talk".
SHe took me in her car and went all crazy about him smoking and
chewing, then i got a lecture on weed, then she told me she went
to see him and he was starring off into space and at his hand, then in
the middle of listning to someone he would just shoot his head to the
corner of the room and say, "did you see that?" He thought
something ran across the room. And when anybody said theres
nothing there, he would cry his eyes out. Apearantly it started
last night, aorund 11. His girlfriend said he would not stop
crying all night cuz they got in a fight, hes not even the type to
cry. THen at 3 am last night he WALKED about 2 miles over to our
chick friends house, she of course said to go home, then he walked
back. Basicaly he is mentally fucked right now. Thanks for
the help, he really needs to look into a counciler and yes his parents
are way too harsh on him.

He needs a good psychiatrist. That definitely sounds like schizophrenia, but there is no way to know unless he goes in and sees one.

i really would like him to not be on his ambein, cuz i know that makes
him really loopy, once he sobers up from that it will be easier to tell
if he just took way to too much and had a l ittle episode, or if there
is really a problem. I really want him to see a psychietrist,
this is just too much. Crying uncontrolably for god sake.

That sounds like classical amphetamine psychosis. Adderal eh? Coupled with sleep deprivation. Bet his eating habits are pretty poor as well. I'd suggest a couple valiums and tuck him in bed. He should recover in a day or two.

thats what im thinking, and i think all the stress hes had this summer
(crazy parents, even crazier girlfriend, new job, ect) has just worn
down his mental imunity. Sounds like a little amp psychosis is
just what snapped the twig. I just woke up cuz i needed a nap,
drove over there and his parents car is gone, nobody will answer their
phone either so i dont know where hes at. Called the hospital and
hes not there, so i have no idea where hes at. At least hes not
driving. I would really love to talk to his parents and tell them
t is experiening ungodly amounts of stress, from them and his nutjob
girlfriend and his job. But i doubt things would really change
just because they see me as a bad person. I think he will snap
out of it by tommorow if he gets enough sleep, as in hes not stuck in a
stupid drug councilers office all night. Ill keep you updated,
thank you for all your help so far and any more help is apreciated.



Edit: next time im in contact with him im going to bring him over some
soup and a multivitamin. Its a shame that he quit doing his
animal paks (great great source of many vitamins) cuz he wasnt drinking
enough water.

update: he has snapped out of it and is sleeping now thank god.
Sad thing is i think he will be bragging about this, and if that
happens im gonna slap the hell out of him. He was drivin to a
hospital 6 hours away cuz they didnt want a bad reputation at my cities
hospital. Im just pretty pissed right now that he stole my
medicine, lied about it, went crazy over it and got everyone in
trouble. Its nobodies fault but his.

hmm i think i may do that, although i hope he has the sense enough to
stay away from the crap, but you never know. He would be the type
to say i just dropped the bottle and didnt take any and try to play it
off, but id make him empty his pocket. THanks for the idea,
sounds like this has all blown over mostly. Still i would love to
smack the crap out of him for being so stupid, i thought he was above
that. Oh well, thanks for the help all of you.
