how long for drugs to get INTO ur system?

How long would it take for drugs to get into your system? say you have a drug test in 8 hours 12 hours or 16 hours, if you do a drug 8 hours before you take the drug test will you test positive for it? say oxycodone for example , does it turn your piss immediately positive if you do some? or does it take a day or so to get into your urine? just wondering cuz swim just came up on some candy , and hes really itchin to do some.

I believe it would be safe to say that if you are feeling the effects
of the drug, that's how long after consumption before you can test
positive.



If you are feeling the drug, you are metabolizing it. Drug tests do not test for the drug, they test for it's metabolites.



As for how long you will continue to test positive after discontinuing
use, that depends on the drug taken, and how ofter it was taken before
stopping.

Brugsman's correct, but it also depends on the drug and method of delivery, e.g. enteric-coated tablets will take awhile to start delivering the drug, and injecting something will put it in the bloodstream immediately. How long it takes until a sufficient concentration builds up in the urine to test positive depends on the drug and the specific person's metabolism.Edited by: Nicaine

That's the way. I would be worried about you if you "knew for
sure" you would soon get a piss test, and you used anyway before it,
because the urge to use was too strong or something. Were that
the case, one needs to re-evaluate one's priorities.

I had the same question a while back except for thc, i guess their are
no real drug testing experts that browse this thread, as no one knew
for sure before, my guess would be 4 hours before it gets into your
system and is be excreted. Hope this helps.
