He wants to do some dope, and get the most out of the shot while suffering the least possible wd. His plan is to score the dope while fully meth'd up up so as to know it will do him no good till later, give it to a friend he can trust (this friend uses drugs but not opiates/dope, and slready knows the consequences of "losing" aka "stealing to sell for coke" SWIMs dope) and leave it with the friend overnight. or if his friend isnt seming too trustworthy just find a good hidey hole at his rents house.
Take benzos and go to bed, shoot ambien if absolutely needed, wake up and do not take morning methadone. klonopin is ok, but no dose. Wait until it gets out of hand, go get the dope, do it (preferably repeatedly, all day, all night), when dope is gone use benzos or IV ambien to get to sleep again. Upon awaking, dose 8mgs of suboxone thats been kaying arounf forever for a nice, gentle happy afternoon instead of the methadone misery he's been floating in

Sounds like a plan, except the suboxone part at the end. I'd be VERY fucking careful with that. Not to mention, if methadone fills half of the hole that heroin fills, suboxone fills half of what methadone does. Has SWIY been on it before? Never heard someone think that suboxone even remotely felt anywhere near as good as methadone (not that methadone feels good anyways).

If you really want to take it, I'd make sure there was at least 3 days since the last methadone dose, and 24 hours since the last heroin dose. And the odds of it making you feel "good" are about zero. Most likely you'll still be sick and not feel much different, unless you wait ~48 hours since your last heroin shot, when you are REALLY fucked up in withdrawals, to take it.

SO swiy would suggest going back to the meth instead after dope> and just waiting as long as possible till the wd is almost unbearable to go back on done< and save the sub for either a time of absolute desperation or for a starring role in on o" those dreams we junkies always have about selling or trading our useless (to us) meds to someone for who its always "just what he was looking for" and it gets traded for an e or a fat crack rock? i love those movies

whats swiy's methadone dose/day? is he trying to get off of the methadone completely, switch to suboxone, or just tryin to get properly jammed for a day or two?

Swim will just reiterate what Dying Tomorrow said above - all sounds good, but do NOT take the sub afterwards! You'll still have meth and gear in your system, and in all likelihood taking any buprenorphine will just send you into immediate intense precipitated withdrawal.

Which is pure evil. It's happened to swim once, the one and only time she took subutex. She thought she'd left it long enough, she was ill as fuck, hadn't used any gear for over 24 hours. So she took the sub. Christ, if swim thought she was ill before, that was nothing compared to how she felt an hour after taking that disgusting tasting sub.

Swim ended up storming out of the house, ignoring her boyfriend's shouts at her retreating back that "this is it, if you leave now it's over" (it was one of those "let's get clean together" plans that, in swim's case, inevitably end with either her or him leaving in this way), and hitching a good 30miles around the north Wales coast in the middle of winter to the only person's house who would do her a lay-on. And when she finally got there it took three hits, with about a half gram in each, before she felt anywhere near normal.

So... save the sub for extreme withdrawal situations, when really anything is going to be better than nothing. As long as there's any chance of you wanting to use gear again, methadone is a much better substitute to use. General methadone misery is much, much preferred to intense, unstoppable, buprenorphine precipitated withdrawal hell.

What is SWIY worried about? There's no contraindication to taking methadone with heroin in one's system - to get the most out of the dope on the dose SWIY has spoken of, SWIY is going to have to not take methadone for 2 days; once on methadone for more than a week, it is built up in the system, so the amount in one's blood is actually higher than the amount taken (half-life, for example, take 100mg yesterday, there's still 50mg in the bloodstream the next morning when one doses 100mg again, making 150mg in the system, so on and so forth).

So one needs time to get a proper buzz if one is taking methadone on a regular basis, be it for pain or to be maintained.

There's no reason for the Suboxone, unless one has a burning desire to be dopesick as fuck - one would need to be off the methadone at least a week, probably longer at the doses of methadone being mentioned, in order for the Subs to work, and even then one feels like shit the first day.

If someone on methadone really has a burning desire to get off on heroin, the best thing would be to skip the dose for 2 or 3 days, do the dope, then restart the methadone the next morning as usual.

SWIY is making this sound way more complicated than it need be.

I've never had a problem taking subs after my last dope run. I try to wait about 6-8 hours, but I've never had an adverse reaction to the subs. Knock on Wood.
