Will this way of making hash work?

Hey everyone, just wondering if this would work. Grind up weed, throw it in water, freeze it. After it's frozen, let it sit out and melt. Then get a coffee filter and pour the weedy water through, squeezing to get all the water out. Warm up the water, and you'll be left with hash? Sounds stupid but when your high, sometimes you think crazy shit
