Wild Lettuce (Lactuca virosa) experiences

Subject: male, 37
Weight: about 65kg+
Height: 170cm

Experience no.1

T.00:00 Boiling water poured on about 3g of Wild Lettuce.
Dried plant material smells plainly, just about how dried plants "should" smell, nothing special about it other than that the smell is unremarkable and faint.

T.00:30 Taste is distinctly bitter although not excessively, sugar and lemon make a good addition to the brew. It's not the tastiest tea in Alf's life but in comparison to some other medicinal herbs or Fly Agaric brew it's delicious.

T.00:45
Very gentle sedation seems to appear. It's "almost subliminal" but Alf says he identifies something symptomatic of his inebriations with depressants-sedatives, i.e. slower closing of the lids, as a cat would do while basking in the sun. Very subtle but still recognisable.

01:05 It's all gone. So elusive and short lasting it was that looking back at it Alf was more and more inclined to perceive it as a placebo effect rather than anything real.

Experience no.2 (next day)

T.00:00 At least 12g+, brewed with lemon. Crushed dried Wild Lettuce emits more intense, "spinach-like" smell. Infusion is later placed on a hob for some time and filled up with a bit of boiling water after about 10 minutes.

T.00:35 Cup is downed in one draught. Even with two spoons of sugar the brew is bitter as hell. Alf is adamant that it would be much tastier with some honey. Too bad there is none.

T.00:45 No effect. Previously brewed plant material is boiled in water again and downed. No effect.

***

That's all folks.
As you can see there's not much to tell
(Not that Alf expected a lot from it.)

Anyway, there is one benefit: I started Drugs Wiki article about Wild Lettuce based on the research I did for Alf prior to him ingesting it (the poor fur rug is illiterate and exploiting me).

Did any swiy have more favourable results from using Wild Lettuce?
Any practical uses for it?
