Helping a friend highly adicted to pain killers

SWIM has a friend that is highly adicted to all sorts of pain killers and it seems that whenever she is awake she is one anyone of the many painkillers that she buys off the street. SWIM really cares for her as afriend, but even worse SWIM cares for her daughter even more, and it is becoming a big problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how SWIM should aproch her and let her know that there are poeple that are concernd without offending her?

Any kind of loving, caring approach is good. Sometimes an
intervention is better handled by a few people all at the same time, so
the one being cared about doesn't think it's just you noticing, that
it's just you nagging or being fucked up.

But regardless of how it's handled, nothing will happen to make the
situation better until she herself admits there is a problem. If
she is in denial, you are beating your head against a brick wall, so be
prepared for that eventuality too.

Yeah I was thinking of approaching her with a few people because I think if there was at least one other person then maybe she will reilize that there is aproblem. But you are right when you say she herself has to admit it because she is one of those poeple that doesn't like to be told anything about herself.
