Dose - Help! 4mg Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) dose

Hello there,

Is 4mg snorted hydromorphone (Dilaudid) going to been an alright dose for swim that has no tolerance? Never tried this stuff before, don't want to get sick.

Swim has used heroin, morphine, oxys in the past.

hard to recommend a dose to someone when you dont know what else theyve taken or what their usual dose is of other substances...

but if no other drugs are involved, swim would venture to say that swiy would be okay with 4mg up the nose... maybe do half(2mg) and see how swiy feels, then if after an hour swiy is ready do the other 2mg.

let us know what swiy decided to do, and how it goes for swiy...

Swim should only take 2mg at first, but if he is feeling lucky then 4 is alright. The actual potency to morphine is unknown. At this point in research it is onle "guestimated". They say anywheres from 2-12 times potentcy, and everyone disagrees with what everyone else thinks, so it is unknown. Swim would be taking an equivelent dose of anywhere from 8mg-48mg of morphine on a 4mg tablet. In case the results are truly pointing towards the higher end, swiy should only take 2mg, wait for an hour, this drug will be fully active by then and swiy will know if he can handle more or not. Just take a 2mg and see how that goes. Make sure the pill is split evenly. Swims says be careful breaking it because the pills (or at least the canadian ones) are very, very hard. Swim says put the pill under dollar bill and lightly tap it with something until it breaks. Dont want to lose any because every little piece of this pill is very potent.

SWIM has a lot of experience with opiates and has a special place in his heart for Dilaudid. If SWIM has tried heroin and various other opiates then SWIM would probably be fine using the entire 4mg at once. Dilaudid produces a nice, quick rush followed by a comfortable opiate experience, the onyl down side of it that SWIM has noticed is that it seems to be a short lived high. SWIM averages 16-24mg of Dilaudid at a time and prefers it to many opiates including morphine, hydrocodone, and oxycodone. It blows smoothly and kicks in rather quickly

Swim has tried lots of different opiates over the last decade; nothing consistent and in small doses. To be honest swim never feels that comfortable using stronger opiates because the risk of ODing lingers in the back the mind.

Swim was having a hard time finding info about a proper dosage for Dillies, in particular for those who don't have any tolerance (there was lots of info from those who have tolerance which didn't help).

To play it safe swim chopped up the pill and divided it into two lines (the first rail ingested was slightly larger).

This was the best route to go, Swim got a pretty decent buzz, waited 40mins and took the next one. Doing the whole pill might have been a bit better or maybe even overwhelming; in the end its best to play it safe with these drugs. In the future Swim would do the whole 4mg. For those starting out start with half...you never know how swiy's body might react.

glad to know you ejoyed yourself and played it safe. you can never be too cautious and its always a good idea to take things slower to gauge a reaction

nicely done by having fun while staying safe. now you know how your body reacts to it. something to remember is that when swiy has only one to do(or just one at all), its nice to have something to come down with. doing the whole 4mg may have gotten swiy higher, and feel great even if you got a little nauseous... but a few hours later when swiy has that headache and starts retching into the toilet, they would wish they had something left to level the slope out for a nice gradual landing.

personally swim feels that oxycodone is a better doc for insufflation than hydromorphone, but hydromorphone will still get the job done if thats all you have. tolerance builds quicker with hyrdromorphone, and the high doesnt last as long because of the shorter half-life. iv hyrdomorphone is a whole different story, and not that i would wish it on anyone ever... but if swiy progresses to iv, keep in mind that hydromorphone is 2x-5x more 'potent' when put in a vein. i hope swiy never gets there... but swim says this for harm reduction purposes.

stop before it gets to that point. dont think that just because you can tame the habit up the nose, you can handle the needle. hydromorphone and heroin iv is a beast that brings even the strongest willed recreational users, and mightiest of us junkies to our knees.

swim wishes he could've got to this post sooner- his first experience with dilly was hell! he thought "hey this is a little pill i can do the whole 4 mgs" well shit was he wrong, he was throwing up like none other and had to leave the movie theatre with his friend--and proceeded to be in nausea opiate pleasure for the rest of the day
^this was when said swimmer was opiate intolerant
and he wishes he had had a site like D-F to warn him and to only do half, wait half
