Dose - 126mg concerta too high of a dose?

SWIM was wondering if 126mg Concerta (seven of the 18 milligram pills) at once would be a bad idea? SWIM should also add that he has a pretty decent tolerance for amphetamines and is a regular user.

If you're worried about your health, take to exercise.
If you want a good time, then perhaps this is too much.
If you want to study, probably too much.
If you need to stay awake, sell them and get Nuvigil.

Since the overdose limit of methylphenidate is between 900mgs and 2000mgs+ depending on the individual. No 126mgs is not 'too much' from a death standpoint, however, swim gets tweeked the fuck out snorting 10 mgs... With that being said, what swim experiences snorting 30+mgs of Ritalin is well... uncomfortable. Concerta is a time release and releases a certain dose every hour. The half life of methylphenidate is approx 3 hours. So in the end, swiy is effectively only recieving 2/3 of that dose after (I think Concerta is 8 hour release...) 8 hours. Swim can only imagine what more than 60mgs would make him feel like...
Swim would not personally recommend it. If swiy wants to get high off the stuff, he should do what makes him feel good... Not what makes him feel way too tweeked. Swiy really doesn't want to know what 'too tweeked' feels like.

Well said... personally I think that's an incredibly high dose for all at once...

Swim was prescribed 54mg of Concerta daily. he would occasionally take 2 or 3 of them (can't remember if he took 3, he was prescribed 36mg first and would take 3 of those sometimes). 108mg would feel pretty strong, especially if he took off the coating, swallowed that since it contains a fifth of the dose or something like that, then cut off the wax skin and removed the green part before taking them.

Has SWIY ever taken Concerta before? if so have they ever taken a high dose of it? 126mg is a pretty high dose, maybe swiy should try a more reasonable dose like 54-108mg first since they last quite a while.

Swiz used to get 60 54mg Concerta pills a month from a friend. Swiz started off taking 2 a day and felt pretty good. Any more than that and you start getting a little to twitchy. Methylphenidate does have a cross tolerance to other stimulants (coke,amphemine,etc) so you shouldnt have to much of a problem just dont overdo it. Hope i helped!
