gbl ban!

Well guys the inevitable time has come which deep down we all new gbl will be banned from sale in the uk from dec this year, now i presume this will or may include the analogues eg.bdo, furanone etc so which clever person is gonna come up with a decent alternative?and i dont mean the imbiciles who come up with cough medicines,im sure an xtra atom added or lost here and there could be a possibility otherwise we are left with the extremely toxic life threatening drug called um what was it..u know the one that overwhelms hospitals and causes violence and death um ah yes alcohol thats the baby the legal one that gets promoted on the tv,nice job goverment, youve admitted you lost the war againsnt cocaine etc so you decide to ban something that maybe caused 1 death even tho they taken ectsacy cocaine and um alcohol!!

Re: gbl ban!

Die from GBL and you make the national newspapers, die from alcohol and you won't even make the local newspaper.

Re: gbl ban!

It has to be said that even though it is exagerated by the media, gbl is a very risky substance for the newbie and the reckless, so I am not suprised that it is banned. Overall, I am against prohibition but even if Swims dream came true and the less risky GHB was legalised, I would hope that its sale was restricted to certain outlets and it to be plastered with warnings against using it with alchohol!

Re: gbl ban!

Just stock up on the stuff, it's dirt cheap while SWIY can. Obviously SWIY would have to pour it down the sink once it's illegal. After then it's just the risk of overseas for the people who think it's worth it.

Completely agree with kimotag. GBL to a newbie can mess them up bad, requires being careful with.

Peace.

Re: gbl ban!

It's only 1,4 BDO and GBL being banned, there is a very good synth on here of GHB from GABA, and2-Furanone is not being banned. 2-furanone differs from GBL only by a double carbon bond...

I'm not sure that it would be a good idea to ingest 2-furanone, as it would most likely be metabolised by lactamase enzymes just like GBL - but into trans-4-hydroxycrotonic acid (T-HCA) Which has been shown to be inactive at GABA B receptors and causes convulsions...

Apologies, I meant it can be hydrogenated to give GBL! Perhaps a writeup is in order
