Combinations - Mixing magic mushrooms with opiates?

Swim hasn't seen any threads like this, and was just curious if this is a safe combination? He's currently addicted to opiate painkillers and was wondering if he should wait an hour or few hours before eating his mushrooms tonight, (first time, ever ) or if he could just take them whenever, or even if there is a possibility of mixing opiates with mushrooms (taking opiates right before, during, or right after a mushroom trip). Also, is there a bad comedown from shrooms, and would swim actually even need opiates for this comedown? Thanks for any and all advice!

What is it with people and mixing shit. Cant anyone be satisfied with the amazing psilocybe experience without additional shit?

In dangerous daves experience, mixing anything with anything diminish's what the experience should be, psycodelics are generally spiritual and eye opening substances, and can be enjoyed by swiy on their own.

Is 1 day without swiy's opiates going to kill him? (not a sarky comment), if so, wait for all opiate effects to be gone (no idea how long this takes), then consume the mushrooms. Psycodelics generally have a tendancy to intensify existing feelings, and the opiate experience, intensified by mushrooms, may be too intense for swiy to handle, its not like a salvia trip which lasts 10 minutes tops, if a mushroom trip is too intense for you, it'll be intense for quite a while, which will make the experience horrible, probably putting swiy off the magical fungus for life.

Not worth it in Dangerous Daves opinion.

Dangerous dave doesnt know of any scientific evidence which would suggest swiy doesnt do it, just logical evidence =P.

For a first trip, swim wouldn't recommend it. He'd have a mild dose of opiates, barely enough to get him high if something like withdraw comes in, but try to be opiate free the entire day before a trip.

Swim has too much experience with mushrooms and opiates, and it wasn't until recently he actually mixed the two. It was one powerful trip though. He had eaten an 1/8th of mushrooms, and popped 30mg of oxycodone, and later that night another 10. As for the effects, he could barely walk strait and motor functions were pretty impaired, but swim could handle himself even in front of a bunch of strangers. As for the visuals, first off swim isn't a very visual person, but everything was bright and blurry when he could keep his eyes open between dips. Somehow he managed to play hacky sack just fine haha. It was like the mushrooms helped swim act as he felt from the opiates, and instead of being like a zombie, he was like an angel. He was fully alive and in total bliss. One hell of a euphoric combo. It wasn't until the end of the trip when shit hit the fan. He was crashing, and fast. The mushrooms were wearing off, and his head was completely mindfucked. Not only that but he was dope sick. He was surrounded by all his friends who are not nearly as "hardcore" as swim, and he was off to the side puking, all by himself. It just felt like everyone was looking at him and saying "wow, he over did it again." And it didn't help that a girl that could calm his ways down was the one thinking this. I had asked later what they were thinking and it turns out swim's paranoid thoughts were right. While puking swim realized that all this drug glamorization is all just a big illusion. It's not a happy life surrounding yourself only around drugs. Not only that swim realized that this is going to be the story of the rest of his life. A drug addict. Constantly pushing the limits looking for the next big thing and tearing his mind and body up in the process.

Overall it was a very powerful trip. It went from the best to the worst. But swim doesn't regret a thing since it had changed his life profoundly, and probably for the better. The wise would say if you're going to mix this combo, make sure you take enough just to catch a buzz off each, and stay happy with that. People say you can always take more, but you don't know how much more it'll take to ruin the night.

SWIM has tried mixing kratom (kinda an opiate... he hears it's comparable morphine/codeine) with 4-AcO-DMT (very very similar drug to shrooms) and it wasn't very good. The two drugs were basically fighting each other. The shrooms made SWIM's mind race and made him somewhat restless, while the kratom made him feel exhausted if he did something other than lie back in a chair.

SWIM has tried mixing mephedrone with 4-AcO-DMT and that was FAR better. SWIM would suggest SWIY do the shrooms without any other substances if it's his first time, and perhaps combining w/ MDMA, Bk-MDMA, or mephedrone some other time.

Last time SWIM took mushrooms he'd been smoking heroin before hand. When the mushrooms kicked in he was nodding out and was like OMGWTFI'MDYING. Not a pleasant next couple of hours but he managed to calm down afterwards.

it is not bad to have opiates or benzos to hand when you take mushrooms or any other psychodelic drug.
When you want´t to end the trip, take some heroin or benzo´s or any other like this and you come down.
I think this was good when the trip comes bad but is no the way that you go for every trip.

Whatever about taking some Valium or Xanax, Swim would not recomend anyone take Heroin to come down from a Mushroom trip.
