My catbought two "eighths" of peyote at a concert from a random dude. He hasn't eaten it yet because he's worried that it might not be the real thing. It came as a powder and weighed more than the 1/4 of an ounce altogether (which is what he paid for) - it weighedcloser toa1/2 ounce. The stuff is an offwhite powder with green flecks in it, smelling somewhat like flour. In your opinion is the stuff real? Should he eat it? And if so, what's the best way to get it down without too much anguish? |

I know the shop near me sells dried san pedro powder, so I guess i's possible. Maybe just try a small amount first to make sure it's not harmful?

1/4 ounce ( 7 grams dry) is not likely to be enough to have an experience, no matter what type of cacti powder it is. It takes 100 grams dry of San Pedro to do the job, at least. Peyote is not known to be significantly more potent than San Pedro, certainly not more than 10x as strong. So 7 grams of anything just isn't going to get you even threshold. God I hate it when greedy peeps take advantage of other peeps when it comes to something as sacred as the cacti. Edited by: BrugmansiaBrujo |

Well, he and his friend split the half ounce. They each drank it down quick mixed up with some orange juice. They claimed it was pretty agreeable that way. Later, one of them threw up but after that they both felt okay. They described some feelings of being in a movie, and other feelings of general confusion. Playing video games and listening to music at the same time was disorienting. Not a very rewarding experience, but it didn't seem harmful. |

Sounds about right. Taking too little won't hurt ya, just not all that rewarding.
