swim has been using lightbulb vaporizer ever since his previous 2 vaporizers (hotbox, happyvappy) broke down. he doesn't feel the need to spend on volcano because he doesn't need to smoke that much. he was wondering if there are any handheld vaporizer that doesn't cause too much smell.

Just get the Vapor Genie. It's a vapourising pipe; you get all the health benefits of vapourisation with the portability and convenience of a normal hand-held pipe. The top part that screws onto the bowl contains a ceramic filter which lowers the heat from the flame so that the weed (or whatever else you choose to smoke in it) does not burn; the flame never comes in direct contact with the weed. Unlike most pipes, the Vapor Genie comes with a lifetime warranty, and the company sends out free replacement screens, mouthpieces and pipes cleaners to those who already own a Vapor Genie. Cowboy has the hand-carved version, which costs $65 USD ($10 more than the Classic version, but a LOT less than the Volcano). Both the Classic and Hand-Carved versions work exactly the same, but some say that the Hand-Carved is a little easier to use, due to the fact that the stem is a little longer and the bowl sits a little lower. Below is a photo of the same pipe that Cowboy has (taken from the company's website because Cowboy doesn't have his own camera). Cowboy knows a few other people who own a Vapor Genie, and most of them say that they don't feel the need to ever buy another pipe because it works every bit as well and doesn't cost nearly as much.

Looks can be deceiving, my friend. Just go to www.vaporgenie.com and read about it. First you put the weed inside the bowl, then screw on the top. You can't see from the photo, but the top part has a ceramic filter made of silicon carbide that lowers the heat from the flame so the substance does not burn. Since the flame doesn't come in direct contact with the weed, it's easier to control it; you can take as big or little of a hit as you want. Just order one and try it, then you will be convinced. Cowboy doesn't take kindly to those who doubt him, hahahaha
