Experiences - San pedro

Swim is thinking about using a 6 inch san pedro for his first "trip". Swim has taken other drugs mostly opiates but nothing psychedelic. The reason Swim chose it is it seems to be relatively mild, although Swim does know about the nausea. Swim wants to do it at night just in case it turns out to be more powerful than Swim expected. Swim will be alone. Any suggestions on what Swim should do to make it more smoother?

SWIM is not familiar with san pedro experiences but SWIM is experienced in just about all other psychedelics and would never suggest tripping alone. Espeacially a first timer with an untested product. This can lead to something bad. SWIM would invite someone over specifically someone experienced with the product you are using just in case of emergency. If something goes wrong SWIY probably wouldn't handle it well tripping balls. Remember safety first.

6 inches of san pedro will probably not do much at all - 3x the amount might. But for a first timer, it might give you just a taste...I agree about being alone, you should at least have someone you can call if things get wierd. But honestly, 6in of san pedro, unless you've stumbled upon the most potent cacti in the world, will probably produce little more than a threshold effect.

you usually want to do about 12 inches ive done san pedro many times , for some weird reason the last 2 trips i had ended 45 minuates later with terrible burning and aching in my stomache i mean really bad! i could do anything both times but curl up on the floor and moan and i did not halve any effects , the other 10 times were awsome! very spiritual and beautiful these are all of off 12 -14 inches and ive halve used the same method , as in the boiling with lemon juice and water untill your left with no more than a shot or 2 worth , so why does it all of a sudden cause me intense pain in my stomache? i was hoping someone might halve an idea, i think i might miss this wonderful ethnogen if i am never able to partake again, as of right now i halve no plans to do it again , the stomache pain is unbearable

Are you removing the skin? Or buying from a different vendor? Someone else on this forum mentioned eating SP and experiencing only stomach pain - I can't remember where that was posted. It's possible the cactus in question is not SP but one of its inactive relatives in the Trichocerus (I'm not suring if taht spelling is %100) genus. Apparently differentiation the species of this genus requires significant taxonomic skill and can seldom be done with total accuracy. And of course the non-mescaline bearing cacti may have some terrible stomach-knotting chemicals...even the same vendor might accidentally sell you the wrong cactus - it has happened to me (swim got a san pedro sold as peruvian torch)

San Pedro has to be prepared somewhat (removing the spines and outer layer of translucent skin) or else it will cause very irritating stomach cramping and indigestion (possibly vomiting) that can easily ruin a trip.

SWIY may want to read up on a food safe mescaline extraction process if he's easily bothered by stomach discomfort.
