Dose - Doing a lot of adderall for the first time

Well SWIM and his friend have each acquired about 140mg's. They each have 7 20mg adderall extended release capsule. The most adderall SWIM has ever done is 40 mg's and this was about 3 months ago. Is it unsafe to take 140mg's? And what's a safe dose if that's note that would still be a lot of fun?

140 mg at once, with no tollerance? Sounds like overkill to That Crazy Pot Head. Consider how 40mg affected the individual, and then consider taking more in smaller incremental doses. That's general advice for drug use 101.

Also note the huge list of negative side effects on erowid. There are only a few positive ones. With huge doses like that, one risks much more severe negative side effects.

SWIM is a firm believer that every individual is different when it comes to adderall. SWIM'S friend took 2 30 mg xr's his first time ever taking the drug and experienced absolutely no effects that a recreational user should. SWIM has other friends that have been using adderall recreationally for years that can still "get off" on doses as low as 20 mg's

It is true that tolerance varies substantially from one individual to another. That being said, how can one know what their tolerance is if they don't have much experience with a drug? If one of the 'other' friends who take doses as low as 20mg tried 90mg their first time, they would be well out of their tree; so to speak.

just do 40mg each time and break one open and eat little bits throughout your experience. It would be a waste just to do em all, SWIY woudnt sleep for 2 days or so.

SWIM will probably end up taking about 80 mg's at night then 60 to keep his high up for the rest of the day. His friends and him have scored lots of bud and beer so it should be a fun night.

SWIM had been taking adderall for seven days. He took his daily regiment of 20 mgs, and later he and his buddy each insufflated 30mgs. SWIM was manic for about two hours, his friend, however, was bouncing off the walls all night as if he took a decent dose of methamphetamine. Be careful sir, amphetamine psychosis is not fun, and horrifying when mixed with THC in SWIM's experience.

I dont suppose SWIY has access to a benzodiazepine he could hold on to for a safety?

SWIM wouldn't recommend taking 80mg even if SWIY were comfortable with 40. If SWIY hasn't done it in a while his tolerance is probably back to basically zero... why take a dose potentially hazardous to SWIY your health just to get off? SWIM would suggest taking 60mg at the most and seeing how SWIY feels... think about what SWIY is doing... doubling the largest dose he has ever taken... Would SWIY drink 30 beers in a night if the most he had ever drank was 15?

My friend Sam woke up today, did a 20mg, Went to the store and got some cotton balls, then crushed 60mg and did some filtering, then shot the liquid and sucked the cotton dry, to no big effect. So, he broke one in half, swallowed half and crushed the other half and put it under his tongue. Then at 2pm, he crushed up another 20mg and snorted it. He still feels the effects at 9:30, so he's taken a couple of vicoprofen....lemme see, he did 120mg today....doesn't seem like too much to him. Sam was into crystal back in the late 80's but hasn't done any of that stuff for twenty-one years. He still remembers what it was like and how to fix himself, but he said he's not gonna shoot any more Adderall. It's kind of a waste and dangerous. At least one of the ingredients, MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOS can really mess up ones lungs, all the way to death....
Even after 21 years, 120mg of Adderall doesn't get Sam as buzzed as he used to get. He only has a scrip for 40mg a day, so I guess he'll have to just use it as directed (most of the time, anyway)....

My co-worker has noticed that many people (herself included) find it hard to reach AMP euphoria on Adderall after using street scores for a long time.
* A small cautionary note*
Just because SWIY "can't feel" Adderall working doesn't mean that it's not having an effect on the nervous system and body. By the time you realize that you have dosed too high your heart might be Tac'n out. My advice to anyone who is not an "experienced" drugger:
When you score Addy's, try and cuff some Atenelol (or similar Beta-Blocker) from your Grandmammy just in case!

So much for Sam's determination not to shoot Adderall again. Being under a lot of pressure because of many bills and no money, he decided to get up Friday morning and bang some Addy. He got all the stuff together and tried a little different method of extraction: put 60mg in a little bowl, crushed it, added a syringe of water and stirred, put some cotton in and sucked up the liquid into one syringe and squirted it into another syringe that he had put cotton into to strain it again. While messing around with the bowl and orange cotton, he failed to notice that the syringe with the cotton and liquid in it was leaking down his leg, so there was a waste of 2/3 of the liquid. He added another 20mg pill and continued to work on the liquid, making sure that he didn't spill it. After he shot it, he didn't really feel much and was a little pissed, so he crushed up another 50mg and repeated the filtering and such and attempted to shoot that. Well, like an idiot, after registering he pushed the needle through the vein and ended up shooting it into his arm instead. It raised a little bump and was kinda sore, but nothing drastic. He was actually kind of glad he missed. Sam is kind of an idiot sometimes and exhibits very poor judgement, so he then crushed another 20mg and snorted it. All in all, he says it was a waste of time and not worth the effort, but he is truly an addict by nature. This morning he took a tablespoon of baking soda and mixed it with water in a coffee cup and chugged it - not too bad. 45 minutes later he put 10mg of addy under his tongue. He feels it somewhat, but not a lot. The baking soda seems to have a colon clearing effect, however. Sam has enough addy for today (in the recommended dosage) and will abstain tomorrow. He has another appointment on Monday, where he will discuss how well the addy worked for him....Sam is torn. He knows it's dangerous for him in the long run, but he's convinced he can handle it (I believe that is called denial!). What to do; what to do.....

If shooting it does not work, don't shoot it. My friend has never tried that but gets a GNARLY buzz by just crushing up about 60 mg's and parachuting them. He thinks that is MUCH better than snorting them. It lasts much longer and is a much better feeling. He would recommend you not try shooting it anymore and just crush them up (if they are XR) and parachute them. Hands down, the best way of taking adderall. Good luck.

Sam never parachuted any, but the other day he watered up 60mg and took it up the ass, then stuck 10mg in his gums and snorted another 10. This at about 8am. at 1 he put another 20 in his gums. Later that afternoon he was feeling really strange, like he did too much, which is unusual. He just laid down, tried to relax and breathe and it soon passed. He guesses that taking it up the butt DOEs work pretty well. Of course, two days later he had to insert 40mg and do the gum/snort thing with 20mg again. That was better. Except that he then got to thinking about banging again and did another 20 in the arm after straining it a while...Idiot. It's still kind of orange even after two or three filterings. I guess he's just going to have to either get rid of his works or go to the street...He saw the Psychiatrist and was prescribed 80mg a day (1 or 2 pills twice a day - 120 pills) but the insurance company balked. They only want to pay for 60mg per day. They never did approve, but the pharmacy filled the prescription with 90 pills in anticipation of approval, except the dosage still said 1 or 2 pills twice a day, which doesn't come out to 60mg, which might be 80mg if he took 2 at a time instead of 1, then 2 (or 2, then 1) and the doctor still hadn't corrected that. Sam just got disgusted with it all and paid $122 for the 90 pills without using insurance. He'll have to have a talk with the doctor about how to label the dose. Sometimes Sam just makes bad decisions.

SWIM has also experienced amphetamine psychosis from something as "tame" as adderall, and really wouldn't wish that experience on anyone else. He dosed at over 100mg (his memory is hazy) and stayed awake for 60 hours, at the tail end of which he thought that there was a cosmic supercomputer eavesdropping on him from the ceiling. SWIM had been reading too many Phillip K. Dick novels, but that's beside the point.

SWIM had not taken any adderall in months at this point, lending a little credibility to the argument that large doses of adderall aren't a good idea with little to no tolerance built up beforehand.

You can definitely over do it with adderall or anything for that matter. people don't understand drugs are rather potent. If you don't play it safe you can end up in ALOT of trouble.

Taking adderall up the ass does definitely increase its bioavailability by quite a few percentile, so dose accordingly. Just play it safe man, it's not worth dying to catch a buzz. Before you do some hanus amount because you can't "feel it" take into account that it still effects your body the same, even if it is not getting you high.
