Health - Is SWIM Experiencing Mushroom Poisoning?

Alright, basically.
SWIM needs advice

at about 945 swim boiled some mushrooms (1/8) he had sitting out in an open bag for a couple days into a tea. It's now 216 in the morning. He hasn't tripped that hard at all, very mild visuals, if that. he's had small amounts before and they've made him trip a lot harder than this. he's never tripped alone, or prepared tea before.

he's now feeling very ill, his heart is beating fast, he has constant uncurable dry mouth, he's thrown up four times and can't hold down water.

He can't go to sleep

did he do something wrong?
Is there something that could be medically wrong with him?

the main question is

what are the symptoms of mushroom poisoning and how soon would they be noticable by SWIM
so he could contact a hospital if need be.
because he is alone, and doesn't want to suddenly be in horrible pain call an ambulance and die

Okay, the reason SWIY can't sleep is because when someone is tripping your brain is producing stimulation and makes their serotonin unbalanced. This is perfectly normal.

On Erowid's site the negative effects of Mushrooms include:

• intense feelings of fear
• headache, usually as effects wear off, sometimes beginning the next day, lasting for up to 24 hours
• nausea, gas, gastrointestinal discomfort, especially when dry mushrooms eaten raw
• mild to severe anxiety
• dizziness, confusion
• lightheadedness or fainting (in cases of lowered blood pressure)
• can precipitate or exacerbate latent or existing mental disorders

Also:

"Many people experience nausea and/or vomiting during mushroom experiences, epecially with higher doses. Other possible negative effects include anxiety and unwanted or frightening thoughts and visions. Mushrooms, though perhaps to a lesser degree than LSD, can precipitate strong, temporary changes in an individual's experience of life and reality. It can be a powerful psychoactive experience, especially at higher doses, which is significantly affected by experiences, set and setting. Recent experiences, especially strong ones, can have a substantial effect on a trip. Physically or psychologically unsettling events in the days before a Mushroom trip can blossom into more serious distress and trauma while tripping. SWIY will be fine, I'm sure. It takes a lot to overdose on mushrooms, it's important that SWIY tries to remain calm and talk himself down.

I reckon that tripping alone increased SWIY's anxiety as he never did it before and unfortunately is having a bad trip at the wrong time.

SWIM is pretty sure mushrooms alone isn't for him, it's a lot more enjoyable with other people around. SWIM thinks if he trips alone again he'll stick to good ol' LSD

1/8th of magic mushrooms is not a very high dose, but it is usually substantial. Those symptoms could be mushroom poisoning, but they could also be associated with psilocybin mushrooms as well. I'm happy you're okay, but it could have ended up much worse.

This is also a good example why one should not trip alone.

Then how come he was thirsty and vomiting at the same time? Boiling psilocybin mushrooms would destroy the active chemicals, but it wouldn't turn them in to poisonous mushrooms.
